Michael Caine Movies

This is a very decent crime drama. Basic plot is a gangster by the name of Jack Carter suspects his brother death was no accident and murdered for some reason. He uses his underworld contacts and his street smarts to get the truth and get revenge on those responsible. The film is set back in the late 60's early 70's. It has that look that works for this film still today. Michael Caine is excellent as JacK Carter. He is the anti hero. He wants justice but is still a scoundrel all the way. I seen the remake years ago with Stallone. But I must say the original is far better. The original comes across much more darker with the characters and direction of this film. This has to be one of Michael Caine best roles. Well worth a watch.

This is a WWII movie based off of writer Jack Higgins novel. The "Eagle has Landed" is one of my all time favorite novels. The plot is about German paratroopers who landed in England during WWII, and very nearly succeeded in kidnapping Winston Churchill. The film has a great story. The movie does start off a bit slow at first but once it gets going into it more it is a fun watch. The film has a great cast with Michael Caine, Donald Sutherland, Robert Duvall, Jean Marsh, Treat Williams and Larry Hagman. But that is one of the weak points of the film. The cast are all great actors. But they seemed to be the wrong picks for these roles. Only Donald Sutherland, Treat Williams and Jean Marsh seem good for their roles. Caine and Duvall seem to be the wrong choices for their roles. The story seemed to miss some parts of the book. I liked the movie but it could use some improvements. The book is much better overall than this film. But I would like to see a remake on this film today. Overall a solid WWII movie. If you enjoy war films then give this a watch.

This was a good film. The movie stars Michael Caine who travels to Rio with his daughter and his best friend and his daughter. Things start off as a normal vacation but one thing leads to another and Caine begins to have sex with his best friends daughter. This of course begins a series of trouble for the character. The movie has a solid story. Caine is quite good in his role. The movie even has a very young Demi Moore in it. This was a interesting movie. Worth a watch.

This was a decent fifth installment of the Jaws series. This time a offspring of the original shark is out for revenge against the family of the father who killed it's mother. Or so that is what it appears to be. It could be this family should just move away from the ocean. The movie has a good cast with Michael Caine, Lance Guest, Mario Van Peebles and Lorraine Gary. Much like the other Jaws films the shark appears and starts killing people. Not as good as the first two Jaws films. But worth a one time watch if you like the other Jaws films.

This is a funny film. Starring Michael Caine as Sherlock Holmes and Ben Kingsley as Watson. The basic plot is that Watson is the actual sleuth for all the cases and just uses a actor to potray Holmes. The film is funny and with a great mystery story. But it is the comedy and chemistry that Caine and Kingsley bring to their characters and the film. A fun film worth watching.

A classic. Very funny. Michael Caine and Steve Martin are both very funny in this. Ian McDiarmid played a butler in this. I always find it strange seeing him playing someone other than the Emperor in Star Wars. He has a small role in it. The film has a great plot and is worth a watch.

A Muppet classic. A must see during Christmas for kids and the family. Michael Caine is excellent as Scrooge. The film is still your typical Christmas Carol story but with the muppets twist. Very funny. Well worth a watch.

This is a decent action movie. One of Steven Seagal's better action movies. Basically about a man who was going to expose a company for unsafe oil drilling. They try and kill him. Of course he comes back for revenge and kicks their butt. Typical action sequences in this. Full of Seagal's signature fight sequences. Plus enough explosions for any fan of this genre. Worth a one time watch.

This was a decent action movie. This is a remake of a Michael Caine movie. Caine is back in a supporting role for this film. Stallone gives a solid performance as Carter. The basic story is about a man named Carter who comes back for his brother's funeral. He then starts to investigate his brother's death and who may have been responsible. The story is a mix of action, mystery and drama. I expected more action in this but I guess some had to be sacrificed for the story. Overall a solid movie. Check it out if your a Stallone fan.

Very Funny! A great homage to the James Bond films.Mike Myers is excellent again as Austin Powers and Dr.Evil. I liked the cameo's in the film. I loved Michael Caine's line as Austin's father to Dr.Evil. There are two things I hate in this world. People ignorant of other peoples cultures and the Dutch. I always laugh at that quote. Tons of cameos in this film. Even though this is the thrid film in the series they still continue to make me laugh. A great comedy.

This turned out to be a decent movie. About a boy who spends time with his great uncles on their farm. There he learns of their past adventures and to deal with their eccentric ways. This is suppose to be a film for kids but adults should enjoy this as well. Solid performances from Michael Caine, Robert Duvall and Haley Joel Osment. The film has some very funny moments. Well worth checking out.

A great Batman movie. Was the best Batman movie untill the Dark Knight came out. Bale is the best Batman. Very dark film. One of my favorite movies. Christopher Nolan stays true to the character and very close to the comics I have enjoyed reading over the years. This film will be in the top ten super hero movies of all time.

I was quite impressed by this film. The story had me hooked right away. Plus I found you take a interest to Hugh Jackman's and Christian Bale's characters also right away. Great acting all around from the entire cast. The story has a mix of drama, mystery, suspense and even a little Sci-fi/Fantasy. The film has a great ending. Well worth a watch.

This turned out to be a good heist movie. I was impressed by Demi Moore in her role. Playing a women working for the biggest diamond exchange company in the 60's and trying to make it in a male dominated industry. You are shown how the sexism is tolerated back in those times and how much harder women had to work for their jobs. Michael Caine plays the janitor who thinks up the heist for the diamonds. He gives a great performance as well. With a good supporting cast this film turned out to be quite good. Well worth a watch.

I originally stated that Batman Begins was the best Batman movie ever. I was wrong. The Dark Knight now has taken the #1 spot. Great performance all around by the cast. Bale again is a perfect Batman and Bruce Wayne. Ledger's performance as the Joker was amazing. Much like the dark character from the comics. Even Eckhart's as Two-Face/ Harvey Dent was great. Great story and action. You didn't want the movie to end. Director Christopher Nolan makes the film come to life. This film makes you feel your watching a great crime drama and not a superhero film. Again a great film. A must see.

This was a very interesting film from director Christopher Nolan. Basic plot is corporate espionage in the dreams of ones mind. The film has a great concept. Plus the film has a great cast. Everyone in it does a great job in their roles. This is a film that you must stay focus on with the images plus the dialogue. If you do not you will get lost in the film. The characters explain how the dreams work and how they manipulate them. Once they did that it was easy to focus on the images and how they worked in the dream state. I liked the different levels of dreams and how the characters had to manipulate them. The film has some great F/X and images through out it. The hotel scene with actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt has to be my favorite scenes in the film. Very well done by director Christoper Nolan to make this story work on film. The story did confuse me a bit at the start. I knew of the basic plot before going to watch this. But you still have to pay attention to understand what is going on with the characters and their enviroment. If you do not like movies that make you think or are hard to follow then skip this. Otherwise a great film to check out.

So this animated version of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet with a twist is a world of two garden gnomes families in a feud. Just like the famous play two fall in love in a world that does not want their love to work. Or does it. This animated love adventure has enough humour for the kids and adults to enjoy. The film has a great voice cast with James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Michael Caine, Jason Statham and many others. The animation is solid and the story is a neat twist on the original material. A fun animated film for the kids and family to enjoy. Worth at least a one time watch.
