1
Sometimes the simplest premises are the scariest.
2
Not as good as the first, but it's still a great way to spend a fall evening.
3
Enough has already been said about this one.

The poster child for "missing the point." Awful.
10
Hey, it's a terrible Halloween film, but it's a personal guilty pleasure. With the emphasis on the guilty.
11
One of the most original and iconic slashers of all time.
12
Not as bad as everyone says it is, but not good either.
13
A surprisingly good film, and an interesting direction to take the series.

Takes the series in an interesting new direction. Flawed but fun.

Damn you, Michael Bay. Once again. However, I liked some visual elements of the film, but most of it I preferred in concept than in execution.

Saw
2004, R)
Missed potential in many areas and a relatively poor performance by the usually excellent Cary Elwes, but overall, not a bad way to kill an evening.
20
A follow-up on par with the original. Doesn't mean it's great, but it's decent and has a pretty damn original premise.
21
The best of the Saw movies, a pretty damn good gorefest with a surprising amount of emotional depth...and it's all downhill from here.
22
Pretty mediocre with very few memorable traps. A by-the-numbers torture porn flick.
23
It might be forgettable and slow-paced, and the blood and guts are better actors than the actors themselves, but this film's worst offence is that it is BORING.
24
I suppose you could call it a return to form for the franchise, but its predecessor set the bar pretty low. Still, it is an improvement in almost every area.
25
Cary Elwes is great, but it's hardly a great way to end such an effing long franchise.
26
I'm not in love with this film like everyone else, but overall it's a classic slasher.

Disturbing, shocking and unsettling, this is one of those horror films you will NEVER forget.

Takes the series in a different, humorous direction.

Well, it's the best of the Platinum Dunes remakes.... ...that's...not saying....anything.
43
I suppose this is what you would get if TCM was another entry into the torture porn genre.
44
A darkly comedic horror classic. Nearly flawless victory.
45
This, to me, is what horror is all about.
46
Fun, over-the-top and a great capstone to the trilogy.
47
It might be the hipster horror movie, but

It's actually not bad. Hayden Panettiere's character is awesome.

For different reasons, it's about as good as the first film. Creepier than part one but with less authenticity.

Liked Aliens as well, but this truly captured the terror and claustrophobia of being trapped in the vacuum of space with something that is trying to kill you.

At one point, this was my favorite movie of all time. Hands down, the best werewolf movie ever made.

Surprisingly good. Emily Perkins was a bit monotone but still believable, and it had a genuinely creepy atmosphere. Underrated.
