The cutest film ever! I had never felt such a jumble of feelings between sadness and happiness, in some time I found myself getting ready to cry with some tears in my eyes and smiling at the same time, just breathtaking and heartbreaking.

The story about true love is memorable and life changing... China Zorrilla is impressive, inspiring and touching: what an actress.

To sum up, the best way to describe the plot is a Picasso's quote printed on the movie poster as a tag line: "It takes a long time to become young" (I'm not sure about the translation from the spanish). Definitively one of my favorites, I do recommend this movie to everybody, you'll never forget it and...

Unlikely and very silly story, just like the most of the Latin American "soups", but it's as unlikely as funny, and I think that it's a parody of this typical and awful TV shows; just because of that and to step aside from the usual Columbian movies about poverty, drugs and war, this is probably the best movie from my beautiful country in the past 4 or 5 years (Just like "Al final del Espectro")... It's hilarious but in a very Latin American way, so I'm not sure about its succeed abroad, but locally you definitively have to see it, maybe you will like it or not, but seen it is a very good way to support our cinema industry as well as to spend a rainy evening in Bogotá.

Extremely sad. It's based in a true story developed during the civil war in El Salvador in the 80s and shows us the condition of a Salvadorian family, and more specifically, the situation of the children under these unacceptable circumstances.

First of all, the direction by Luis Mandoki is wonderful, and the performance by Carlos Padilla is awesome if we consider his age during the footage, involving you with the story in an amazing way, like so, making you suffer with him and the rest of the cast.

On the other hand, the script is very simple, but in Mandoki's hands is almost a masterpiece; this exposes the innocence and naivete of the kids and the pure love that they can feel, love able to change things, contrasting this with the infamous fate that the army and guerrilla provides them in a nonsense, evidencing how far the mankind's stupidity can get, eroding and corrupting this magnificent feelings, leading, therefore, to a hopeless, awful, useless, and senseless end of a war which shouldn't have begun in first place. I think that the war is necessary in certain cases, but not managed by brainless leaders and intended to corrode from inside the social order, unless you are a super power dedicated to take advantage from the other countries' people, culture and natural resources.

Despite the plot seems to be pretty simple and common, I think that its approach is very successful. The Aldemar Correas' performance is surprising, he is an unknown actor with few experience and still he achieves the purpose to transmit the pain and his concerns to the viewer as well as his happiness and attitude to face the challenge to be foreign in such a big city.

Maybe which I like the most about this movie is its capability to comfort the tragedy of the characters with a little bit of sarcasm that makes you laugh at times and forget momentarily how serious is the problems with the immigrants and the issues back in their origin countries: The classic American Dream, but not fallen in extremes where apparently its main purpose is to be a funny movie from the drama, such as Brigitte Roüan's "Travaux, on sait quand ça commence..." ("Housewarming" in U.S)

To sum up, this is not neither the best Colombian movie nor the worst, still it is a must in the Colombian cinematography, excellent execution and adaptation from a simple plot, great performances (John Leguizamo was superb in a role which is not natural on him) and very very entertained.

I'm a little disappointed. What a lack of originality! It's obvious that the director and the producers took part of the idea from "The Others" with scenes from "The Grudge", "Ringu", "A Tale of Two Sisters" among others (japanese style). Still, it was a nice try, in general it came out pretty well with some well made shoots even when the colombian actors are not prepared for this kind of films, but during the whole film I were thinking "this is a cheap copy", so I didn't enjoy it that much... but the movie itself, eliminating the similarity with the other movies, is very good and captivating.
