A charming film with cute, girl-power humor. All the characters are likable. Betty White is adorable as always. It was entertaining and fun. Ladies, this is a nice movie to watch with your daughter or one of your best girl friends.
I thought it was actually pretty good. It was alot shorter and more exciting than the others. To me, it seemed alot more organized. Instead of just washing up on a certain dangerous island by chance, they actually came across perils that had to do with what they were searching for. But, I didn't like Penelope Cruz.
Some parts were sort of strange, but I thought it was a pretty good movie. There was some nice, refreshing romance. Not the worst movie, but not the best.
Interesting. Very curious. It wasn't completely straightforward. Things were a little scattered, and yet I found myself caught up in the romance. I actually liked it. I mean it was okay. Nothing too amazing though.
The storyline is very good. But some parts were slow and hard to get through. But the violence was creative and vivid. The overall movie was okay, but the sequence of events were lacking in places.
I didn't realize how much I loved Spiderman until after I watched this movie. I was instantly hooked from the beginning, and I was entertained until the very end.
This is my least favorite of the three. Still not a bad movie, though. The romance and action scenes were very nice and well-crafted. It was okay, but I was a tiny bit disappointed.
Good performances from the actors. The comedy was nothing to bust your sides laughing at, but this movie gave me a few smiles. Nothing too memorable, but it wasn't terrible.
For a children's movie, it's not that bad. Kids aren't going to care whether the acting is good or whether the comedy is for adult's too.
Cute and entertaining.
Not terrible.
Like I said with the first one, it's a KID'S MOVIE. The children don't care whether the acting is good or whatever. It was cute, but definitley not the best kid's movie. I thought they could have done better though.
Very good, and yet very odd. Not really for a younger generation, but that is okay. The actors were great, but Johnny Depp especially stuck out to me. An overall good movie.
To start off: THE BOOKS WERE SO MUCH BETTER. As far as taking an amazing book and making it even more magical by bringing it to the big screen, this movie fails...miserably. If you have read the book, don't waste your time watching this.
But, if you haven't read the books. I would say you might enjoy it pretty well.
Things I liked about it:
The actors- They were very believable and impressive.
The lesson- It shows how important it is for family to stick together. Although, it is NOT a family movie.
Things I didn't like:
The scattered and out-there plot- Some times the plot would move to places and I would say, "What? Where did that come from?" And I would get totally confused. And other times, the plot would move too slow and I would get bored.
But overall, it wasn't a terrible movie. But nothing that will live on forever.
I didn't think it was that bad. But there were parts of it that I didn't really like all that much.
Things I liked:
The suspense- No, it wasn't absolutely horrifying. But the suspense was fairly strong. I liked how there was a mystery, like you were trying to figure out who was going to die next and who wa killing everybody.
The story- It wasn't that weak of a story. I thought it was interesting and very original.
The actors- They were believable.
Things I didn't like:
No scares- I jumped maybe once. And that was it. I'm not sure if that's what they were aiming for or what, but this doesn't pass as a horror flick.
Parts were a little slow- Not very exciting and blood-pumping.
I enjoyed it. But I can see where others were disappointed.
Things I liked:
Some of the romance- Sometimes, it was really sweet and meaningful.
The actors- Yeah, I liked all of the actors that they used.
Things I didn't:
Too many things going on at once- It was hard to keep up with and I often was confused. I liked the actors, but there were just too many of them. So many characters, it was hard to keep up with each person's story and who said what.
Romance was chiche- Most of the time it was so predictable.
It was an okay movie, but definitley not the best.
Not one of M. Night Shyamalan's best. It was very confusing and hard to follow. But it was okay. To me, it wasn't that bad. I was interested and pretty entertained.
It was a pretty entertaining movie. I liked it pretty well. Not exactly hilarious, but the plot was good so it was okay. Sometimes things got a little slow. But that didn't happen often. I was entertained.
Oh, it was interesting all right. I found this movie to be very odd, but I liked it. I thought the storyline was fun and creative. The acting was good also, especially from Heath Ledger. An overall decent film.
The movie is pretty intense and scary, up until the very end. The climax was lacking a little. But overall, it was an enjoyable movie that wasn't completely terrible.
I wasn't as scared as I was disturbed, but this is a very good horror film that people will remember for a very long time. Oh, and Jack Nicholson was incredible.
Truthfully, the only parts I liked were the parts with Madea in it. Most of the time, Madea wasn't even in it. Why are you going to call it MADEA goes to Jail, when most of the time it's not even about Madea. But when she was on there, I was laughing so hard.
A highly enjoyable remake that is funny and entertaining all the way through. A wonderful family for mother and daughter bonding. Jamie Lee Curtis is just as loveable as always.
Unlike many others, I have to say I wasn't too impressed with this Pixar film. It was still a nice movie. But I felt it would go over children's heads. Sure, it is about a talking mouse, and it is visually brilliant. But I don't think it is enough to keep kids interested. It might engage some, but generally I don't think it would be enough. But a pretty good movie for more mature audiences.
Exceptional performances from the actors. Interesting plot. I wouldn't say the ending was a twist, but it was entertaining. The setting had that thriller kind of atmosphere which I liked. I would say this was an overall okay movie.
I haven't read the book or anything, but this wasn't that bad of a Disney Channel movie. Usually the movies are uninteresting, cheesy, and well...not good. But this time, I wasn't as dissappointed. The acting was pretty good. I like the overall plot, it was pretty entertaining. The twist at the end was very predictable though. But it was still interesting.
I REALLY hate movies that are full of messages like global warming is bad and we are killing the earth, but when I watch this movie from a fictional perspective, it's an okay movie. If it weren't for the effects and the intense disaster sequences, this movie would be pretty terrible though. But there is one thing that doesn't really make sense to me, that they said in the movie...In the movie, a man says something about another Ice Age happening. Well they say that we are causing this Ice Age and that it's all our faults it is happening. But what about back when the first Ice Age happened? Did the people back then cause that? After all, they didn't have the devices that cause what scientists say is the cause of global warming today. So basically back then, the earth just kind of did it. So how do we know that this time WE did anything to cause it? How do we not know whether the earth just decided to do whatever it did the last time we had an Ice Age? I kind of turned this review into my rant about global warming, but oh well. I think it's dumb.
Well I haven't seen any of the other Dracula movies, so I can't really compare them to Dracula 2000. But I thought it was an okay movie. I kind of liked the twist on who Dracula was. I think it was cool in the way of taking the original story, and putting a modern spin on it. I didn't think it was that bad, but still I haven't seen the other Dracula's.
I'm not completely sure about this one. I hardly jumped or got scared. The exorcism scenes were probably my favortie part. It was kind of scary. The storyline was a bit slow and the ending was anti-climactic which was kind of disappointing. But overall, it was an okay movie. It was still pretty thrilling through some parts. Not the worst horror movie I've ever seen.
I expected exciting, thrilling, and touching. What I got was boring, strange, and more boring. The natural disaster scene was at least a little bit interesting. But the movie went pretty downhill from there. And that was the opening scene. I could hardly pay attention because it was so dull. But I guess it wasn't terrible. Looking on the bright side, I have seen worse.
I guess it was okay. Nothing really made me laugh out loud. Nothing really warmed my heart. Nothing really intrigued me all that much. It was a cute movie. Kind of.
Meh, it was pretty good. I know it's not fair to compare the effects in this movie to those of today's movies, but I just thought they were pretty stupid looking. But I guess back then, they would be okay. It gave me a pretty good laugh though. Kind of slow and the end was a bit of a disappointment. Not one of Hitchcock's best. But it was pretty good.
Apparently, people don't like this movie too much. But I didn't think it was all that bad. It wasn't the greatest fantasy action movie ever. It didn't really keep me on the edge of my seat, though maybe a few scenes it did. And some of it was pretty dull. But there were some thrilling moments and an overall pretty interesting movie. The performances were pretty good. Nothing all that bad, but nothing too memorable.
I think the book and movie are both good in different ways. That is where most of the harsh criticism is coming from. The movie cut out alot of the symbolic philosophy of the book. But I think the movie got the book's point and seriousness across well. The movie was very sinister and dark like the book. They both showed even the most innocent and young souls can be corrupted. The movie just by itself and keeping all thoughts of the book out, was decent. The acting of the boy that played Piggy was pretty bad. But I thought that Jack, Ralph, and Simon were decent along with the other less important little boys. But I'm not going to be too harsh on a little boy's acting. Overall, a pretty good movie. It gave me some thrills.
I thought it was decent. It's action was pretty exciting, the actors were delightfully funny. But sadly, there wasn't anything completely memorable except for maybe a few parts. Overall, it wasn't a bad movie. It had likeable characters, an interesting plot, and pretty good humor.
This film is kind of in the middle for me. I didn't just love it, but it wasn't too bad. The mystery was pretty good. It was a little gory. There were a couple of really sad parts, but not so bad it makes you want to curl up in a corner for the rest of your life. I was surprised and jumped a few times, which I liked. And the ending was decent, kind of had that bittersweet effect.
I haven't watched the show that much at all, so I'm not really able to compare the two. But I think it was okay. It was a bit average. Not that funny, but it still got a couple of laughs and quite a few smiles. I am also a huge Will Ferrel fan and it think he did really well. Well, I think all of the actors did well.
Putting all of the cheesy effects aside, I think this movie was actually pretty good. I agree with some people, it is a little messy and all over the place. But it's not that bad. For me, it was easy to overlook. Matt Damon and Heath Ledger (Man,I still can't believe he's gone) were incredibly charming and funny. There was some really great chemistry between them. Overall, a decent movie.
I am going to have to disagree with most people, I actually liked this movie. I guess I'm not too harsh on Christmas movies. They just get me in the mood for the holidays, so I don't really hate any of them. I think it's pretty funny, but not like bust your side laughing funny. Not super terrible.
Definitely very interesting. I thought this movie was okay. The first parts of it are just a little slow, but it gets better. I actually kind of found myself caught up in the romance. The acting was good too. A pretty good movie.
