when I was a kid going to the video store and renting stacks of VHS tapes, I never thought video stores would turn into fossils when I grew up, along VHS and now DVDs.

BUT these movies make you feel like you've borrowed five bucks from your mum&dad, gone to the video store, browsed the VHS shelves, peeked your head into the naughty section, grabbed snacks, and skipped all the way home to watch your movie.

* i grew up in the 90's so most of these movies are from that decade.

SWEEP THE LEG, BITCH. Kreese is a fucking beast. I love him. And the crackhead - "GET HIM A BODY BAG!!!!! YEAAAAAAA" - best. line. ever.

31	Road House 1989, R) PATTY S. and Sam Elliot! Yes! Well, this has to be one of my biggest guilty pleasures! It's a real "manly" film, but with an actual story, an excellent soundtrack, and some fabulous '80s cheese! Not to mention, Jeff Healey, who fronts the band that serves as the Double Deuce's main act nearly every night! I remember thinking Road House was one of the best films in the world when I was a kid! I also had a thing for Patrick Swayze films. No idea why, but whenever a new movie came out with him in it, I was there! Anyway, I knew I loved Road House when I was a child, but I couldn't seem to remember all of the details, so I decided to re-watch it last week. And honestly, I still think it's brilliant! I know I should be shot for saying that, but I really do love this movie! The dialog is stunning! Road House gives us some of the cheesiest lines known to man! Some notable ones include: "The Double Douche", "Come on, chicken dick", and my personal favourite, "I fuck guys like you in prison!" There is without a doubt some slight homoeroticism to Road House. Everybody is aware of it, but the fact that they try so hard to ignore it, makes this movie even more amusing! If you don't take it too seriously, Road House can be an excellent film! It's not a "oh my God, this film just changed my life" type of movie, but it's highly entertaining!

40	Waterworld 1995, PG-13) Dennis Hopper, FUCK YEAH! He truly makes this movie EPIC. Kevin Costner, not so much. There's no believability in that man! That's the one problem I've always had with him. It always feels like he's acting. He's like, "Hi! I'm KEVIN COSTNER in WATERWORLD," not "I'm a fucking mutant fish who sails around the world and fucks bad guys up." He needs to become that mutant fish, or at least I need to believe he is, which I don't. It's just Kevin Costner in a really expensive movie. Which I totally don't mind, by the way. The man is pure cheese! I love it. He always makes me laugh. I know it's not intentional, he probably feels like a real hardass for doing shit like this, but that's what makes it so perfect. I am laughing at him, not with him. Even during those lame jokes they write in for him, I'm still laughing at him. Kevin Costner is probably my favourite actor in that respect. He's just damn entertaining! But yeah, Waterworld.......basically The Road Warrior on jet skies. It's actually pretty neat, I'm not gonna lie. The concept of the whole world being covered by water is interesting enough for a solid foundation of the film, oh, and did I mention Dennis Hopper? BADASS.

42	Beverly Hills Ninja 1997, PG-13) I LOVE this movie. I have no idea why. Whenever I watch it with someone else I'm always the only one laughing though. Chris Farley just makes me happy man, I can't explain it. This is like my favourite movie of his. I watched it all the time as a kid. Apparently Chris Farley was embarrassed by it. I read an interview that said he cried when he watched the screening of it because he made a total ass of himself, which probably just fueled his depression until he OD'd. So yeah, I kinda feel bad laughing when I watch it now, but I can't fucking help myself. The man is hilarious. 'Nuff said.

49	Wayne's World 1992, PG-13) Back in the day... when Mike Myers was still funny, and Dana Carvey was Garth Algar! Wayne's World was my absolute favourite film when I was a kid! Garth is the only Dana Carvey character I have ever liked. His dance to Hendrix's "Foxy Lady" always puts the biggest smile on my face! And the "Bohemian Rhapsody" rock out in Wayne's car is what instilled the love of Freddie Mercury into my heart forever! Essentially, Wayne's World is the embodiment of the early 90's! It's full of excellent tuneage, (plus a phenomenal Alice Cooper performance!), and some brilliant dialogue! I know I'll be quoting this film for the rest of my life! "She makes me feel kinda funny, like when we used to climb the rope in gym class." I really need to get this on DVD! I have definitely worn out the video tape I've owned since the age of six.

124	The Running Man 1987, R) Utterly brilliant. Arnie and sci-fi is an orgasmic combination! There's really nothing more entertaining in the entire fucking galaxy. I love how it's the future, but still COMPLETELY 80's! Fucking beautiful. And Arnie's catchphrases and one-liners are UNREAL! It really doesn't get any better than this. Definitely one of my favourite Arnie movies! Everyone should watch this one at least once, if only to see Arnie in a stunning hawaiian shirt. And of course he has to comment on it! Homegirl tells him she's gonna puke all over him when they get on the plane, and Arnie's just like, "GO AHEAD. IT WON'T SHOW ON THIS SHIRT, BITCH!" Quality cheese, man. Arnie at his finest, LIKE ALWAYS!!!! Love him.
