Films of the 2010s - Ranked

  1. brandonw161
  2. Brandon

Simply a list of every film I've seen that was released between 2010 and 2019, ranked according to preference (with #1 being the best). It is a work in progress and currently only contains every film I've given a rating of 70% or higher, but will eventually include everything I've rated lower. The positions are not at all finalized and will probably be rearranged often. By the end of the decade, I hope to have a list of 1000+ films! Wish me luck!

How to Train Your Dragon 2010,  PG)
How to Train Your Dragon
Dreamworks has always been a so-so animation company. They've produced a few quality titles like Shrek and Kung Fu Panda, which had great humor. However, there was always something missing; Emotion. How To Train Your Dragon is the solution to this, as it continued Dreamworks' tradition of quality humor, but this time it had a powerful story too. And to top it all off, the film boasted incredible visuals. If Dreamworks keeps it up, they may eventually join the ranks of Pixar's outstanding films.

Winnie the Pooh 2011,  G)
Winnie the Pooh
Disney's latest offering is a delitghtfully unpretentious little speck of an animated movie, and may very well be my favorite film they've made thus far in the 20th century. Only the most cold-hearted of cynics won't be won over by its nostalgic charm and sweetness. Though primarily aimed at children, the humor in Winnie the Pooh is universal and can be enjoyed by both children and adults alike. It's the perfect antidote to the noisy parade of CGI-packed blockbusters of the summer. It's a throwback to the past, when children's films were much simpler and packed much more charm. After Princess and the Frog, Tangled and Winnie the Pooh, the quality of Disney's films are surely improving.
