Solyaris (Solaris)
So, what a director living in the USSR has to do in order to present in his film a subject banned by the goverment ? ( for example the concept of God ). Well, if we are talking about A. Tarkovsky the answer is quite simple : create an allegoric sci-fi masterpiece.
Extremly slow paced. Some will fully enjoy it, some others may have to give a fight to finish it, but it will surely find the ending very rewarding

Zerkalo (The Mirror)
Found it way too personal, not interesting, pointless and quite confusing. Tarkovsky delivers some great poetic images but that just wasn't enough.
