Diane Keaton (born January 5, 1946), is an American Oscar-winning film actress, director and producer. Keaton began her career on stage, and made her screen debut in 1970. Her first major film role was as Kay Adams in The Godfather (1972), but the films that shaped her early career were those with director and co-star Woody Allen, beginning with Play It Again, Sam (1972). Her next two films for Allen, Sleeper (1973) and Love and Death (1975), established her as a comic actress. Her fourth, Annie Hall (1977), won her the Academy Award for Best Actress. Keaton has claimed that she is "tailor-made for comedy".
Keaton took on different kinds of roles to avoid becoming typecast as her Annie Hall persona. She became an accomplished dramatic actress, starting in Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977) and received Academy Award nominations for Reds (1981) and Marvin's Room (1996). Some of her popular later films include Father of the Bride (1991), The First Wives Club (1996), and Something's Gotta Give (2003). Keaton's films have earned a cumulative gross of over USD 1.1 billion in North America. In addition to acting, she is also a photographer, real estate developer, and occasional singer.

The Godfather, Part II
The darker sequel, is almost superior to the original, the second Godfather movie lives up to it's predesessor. Shows us the world of Don Vito Corleone before and after the story in the original film. Outstanding period detail and refined violence. "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer."

The Godfather 1972,  R)
The Godfather
Tragic, three part romantic saga with Mob boss Don Corleone and the rising, son Michael. Gripping suspense and memorable dialogue "I'll make

him an offer he can't refuse". The visually grand images of times and places contrast with the film's graphic violence. The Godfather remains among the most celebrated, landmark films of all time. Winner of my Best Film from the 1970's. Winner of my Greatest Crime and Gangster Films.
5
Marvin's Room 1996,  PG-13)

The Godfather, Part III
The line that really sums up this film is: "Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in." The series could have gloriously ended with the second film but unnesecarily, tragically and ironically the series was revived for one more film. I say ironically because the film holdes several ironies, namely that despite adding little to the series the ending redeems the film and gives the entire series a triumph in tragedy. I find it also ironic that the one thing that really killed Michael, also nearly killed the film, Sophia Coppola, but had it not been for her death the film would have truly died. The casting, acting, story line was in itself adequate but compared to the greatness of it's predecessors was dismal. Frankly the ending of this film should have been the ending of the second. In the end unlike its predecessors, Godfathers Part I and II, Godfather Part III, critics and fans remain divided on its legacy to this day.
