21	Homegrown 1998, R) Always wanted to see this when I saw it in video stores years ago and finally when I saw it, it wasn't what I expected exactly but it was pretty damn good for what it was.It was a Nice mix of action,comedy,drama and suspense. Billy Bob Thornton was good here and didn't really hijack this movie like he usually does in ensemble pieces. I think Hank Azaria really showed off his acting chops in this and Ryan Phillippe was more or less just a set piece for women to rub one out to. Kelly Lynch was bad ass as the girlfriend of the drug boss, and lover of the hired help. Great cameos from Bon Jovi,John Lithgow,Ted Danson and Jamie Lee Curtis round out the film. I was pleasantly surprised how the film turned out, but if you're someone who isn't a fan of serious themed suspense comedy... that has a slightly dark edge then you need to look elsewhere. If you like out there comedy suspense dramas like this... then this film will hit your sweet spot.

There's very little you can take away from this other than all the everday people you know no matter who they are, have some sick disturbing secret thing they're into. Its a good watch once....maybe twice.

179	Neo Ned 2005, Unrated) I really loved this movie even though it felt very chick flicky at times. The story itself is probably one of the most unique and chaotic I've ever seen and somehow it works. Ned Played by Oscar winning Jeremy Renner is a neo nazi who isn't really racist but feels like he has a sense of family with his brotherhood. Coming from a broken home Ned's distorted view of family leads him to be involved in a hate crime where a black man was killed by two other guys while Ned was there. Instead of going to jail he gets put into a mental hospital where he meets Rachael, a gorgeously insane black woman who thinks she is hitler. Despite Ned's Nazi views he starts to really fall for Rachael's good looks and her smart ass personality, her hitler routine is just that...a routine. Rachael is a woman who just couldn't handle the pressures of life so she came up with a fake problem just to get put away where she tries to figure out what to do. One thing leads to another and they end up escaping together and thats when the real drama happens. This is just one amazing movie that got buried in with the rest of the direct to video low budget romantic dramas, and its shame. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes weird, offbeat, romantic, drama's with some dark comedy thrown in.

206	Puberty Blues 1981, R) I didn't hate this movie at all and found it to have a charm to it. The two main female leads aren't the most conventionally pretty girls in this whole movie but I think they were good looking enough to hold a scene or two. The movie follows two girls through all the trials and tribulations of teen age life in suburban Australia during the early 80s. This movie really felt to me like a mix of Fast Times At Ridgemont High,Little Darlings and Kids from 1995,but a less graphic version. This shows the reality of teen age girls and all the crap they have to go through to fit in then find out its not worth all the trouble. There were very awkward parts in this but that's what gave it the certain level of charm. Its not a horrible movie by any means but it doesn't make you want to watch it again anytime soon.
