Hands up! This film went completely over my head. If I had a film list for 'the weird and made no sense' this would be at the top of the list and at 3 hours long, it's hard to keep your concentration.

I think this film is a little like modern art, you either think it's a work of genius or you just don't get the appeal.

If ever there was a film that required multiple viewings it's this one!

I'm still fresh from watching this film, with my brain enthusiastically trying to piece together all the pieces of the puzzle, but if I never manage to, it will still be a most enjoyable film.

For anyone willing to stray from traditional story telling, this one might just blow your mind!

Blue Velvet
This film runs on a very flat level, meaning there never seems to be any elevated time of excitement, yet it somehow works. An enjoyable storyline with some great music and an unusual role for Dennis Hopper.

Dune 1984,  PG-13)

The Elephant Man 1980,  PG)
The Elephant Man
Carnival fair freak, or star attraction for the upper classes to observe, John Merrick known as 'The Elephant Man' knew nothing much about the outside world, as society would not except his disfiguration.

This film was a really good watch, I think Anthony Hopkins was very good and to all the Brits out there who know who Dexter Fletcher is, watch out for him as the little boy.

I've read up on John Merrick recently and there seemed to be a few things left out from this story, however the main parts were shared. A man who just wanted to sleep like 'normal' people

VERDICT: Would definitely recommend
