What an odd but charming little romantic comedy... about how someone can totally make over their ugly self, to look like a total goon with a mullet to get the girl of his dreams. I know that sounds stupid but this was actually very entertaining in a cheesy early 90s sorta way. Plus its one of the few 90s movies staring Steve Guttenberg so you gotta give it a shot at least once.Jami Gertz is also just adorable as the love interest and Shelley Long is great as the nosey romance novel writing sister. Its a great watch if you're looking for a different kind of romantic comedy and don't mind late 80s cheese.

I really loved this movie even though it felt very chick flicky at times. The story itself is probably one of the most unique and chaotic I've ever seen and somehow it works. Ned Played by Oscar winning Jeremy Renner is a neo nazi who isn't really racist but feels like he has a sense of family with his brotherhood. Coming from a broken home Ned's distorted view of family leads him to be involved in a hate crime where a black man was killed by two other guys while Ned was there. Instead of going to jail he gets put into a mental hospital where he meets Rachael, a gorgeously insane black woman who thinks she is hitler. Despite Ned's Nazi views he starts to really fall for Rachael's good looks and her smart ass personality, her hitler routine is just that...a routine. Rachael is a woman who just couldn't handle the pressures of life so she came up with a fake problem just to get put away where she tries to figure out what to do. One thing leads to another and they end up escaping together and thats when the real drama happens. This is just one amazing movie that got buried in with the rest of the direct to video low budget romantic dramas, and its shame. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes weird, offbeat, romantic, drama's with some dark comedy thrown in.

What a boring turd of a movie and I only gave it a star and a half because of the great make up job and some of the cameo's by some unknown actors at the time.Actors like Bill Mahr,john Lovitz,john witherspoon,Robert Townsend and Louis Anderson made early film appearances in this festering asshole of a motion picture. I guess when you're Clint Eastwoods girlfriend all it takes is tickling ole Clints taint with your tongue to get your own director gig. I'm guessing that's how Sandra Locke got this because if you look at her filmography almost all of her stuff has something to do with Clint Eastwood which says to me that she couldn't get anything on her own.
