Repo! The Genetic Opera
Zydrate comes in a little glass vial. A little glass vial? A little glass vial!

It was this song called 'Zydrate Anatomy', That got me wanting to watch this movie. It was a weird movie and somewhat different to others Dystopian genre, Because it's defiantly Dystopian with old technology such as type writes, black and white (or at least old looking) TVs and telescopes scattered through the high technology of holograms, hinted hidden cameras on the streets, what seems to be wifi and lets not forget the extremely addictive painkiller liquid drug Zydrate. By itself this does not make it weird, no its the rather gruesome deaths and strange plot along with possibly the singing. However, just because weird and strange does not make it bad. Indeed the singing made the movie Awesome and really helped with the characterization , especially Anthony Head whose relatively normal singing to a course voice showed very well his conflicting values and personalities, and this made him one of my favorite characters and really interesting at the climax of the movie. Alexa Vega as Shilo, Terrance Zdunich as Grave Robber, Sarah Brightman as Blind Mag and even Paris Hilton as Amber Sweet where all good in this respect. I also liked the special effects depite most of them highlighting the rather bloody scenes it helped you pull you into the plot of the movie and the comic idea is original. Overall it was good although i wish they showed Grave Robber more.
