The infant Kal-El, of the planet Krypton, makes his journey to Earth in a ship constructed by his father, Jor-El, just as the planet explodes. I love Superman since i was a kid because he s the greatest super hero of all time and culture phenomenon.I always followed his adventures in the comics but when i watched Superman:The Movie,it made such a impact on myself that made me love Superman.A lot of people believed The Dark Knight is the best comic book movie ever but this is and will be always the greatest super hero movie of all time.With a great story,brilliant cast and oustanding visual effects,Superman:The Movie shows that the legacy of The Man of Steel will never die.
Christopher Reeve delivers a memorable and unforgettable perfomance as Superman/Clark Kent and he s the heart and soul of the movie.You didn t have to say anything because you can look at him and say:he s Superman.Chris s perfomance was amazing because he makes Superman such a believable and strong character and he s also hilarious as Clark Kent.No other actor would pull the character better than Reeve because he s perfect for Superman,not just phisically but vocally too.Christopher Reeve is and will be always be Superman because he made me believe a man can fly.Gene Hackman is fantastic as Lex Luthor,Superman s arch nemesis.Hackman makes Luthor a menancing and a egomaniac villain obcessed on destroying Superman.Margot Kidder was fantastic as Lois Lane.She and Chris have a great chemistry in the relathionship between Clark and Lois and the romance between Lois and Superman.Marlon Brando makes a special appearence as Jor El.Superman s father.His perfomance was amazing for a small apperance.
Richard Donner s direction was amazing and made this movie the classic that it is today.With his brilliance and sensitifity with the story and the characters,Donner made the movie fans would be very proud of.The visual effects are amazing,still impressive until today and Superman s flying scenes are mind-blowing.
Superman:The Movie is one of my all time favorite movies and no other movie of the genre can capture the magic and the soul of this oustanding movie.Sorry Superman Returns but this movie is definetly the best movie of The Man of Steel and will always make people believe a man can really fly.Classic.

Tony Stark is the complete playboy who also happens to be an engineering genius. While in Afghanistan demonstrating a new missile he's captured and wounded. His captors want him to assemble a missile for them but instead he creates an armored suit and a means to prevent his death from the shrapnel left in his chest by the attack. He uses the armored suit to escape. Back in the U.S. he announces his company will cease making weapons and he begins work on an updated armored suit only to find that Obadiah Stane, his second in command at Stark industries has been selling Stark weapons to the insurgents. He uses his new suit to return to Afghanistan to destroy the arms and then to stop Stane from misusing his research.

I almost had a heart attack when i discovered that Iron Man would be adapted to the silver screen.I was preety excited because Iron Man is one of the coolest super heroes of Marvel and one of my faves next to Captain America,Spider-Man and Wolverine.I was afraid of the idea of being a dissapointement but thank god that didn t happen.Iron Man is the kind of movie i ve dreamed of:has action,comedy,amazing cast and impressive visual effects.It may not be like Spider-Man of X-Men but that doesn t even matter.Iron Man is one of the most spectacular comic book adaptations ever made next to The Dark Knight and Superman:The Movie.
Robert Downey Jr. delivers a brilliant perfomance as Tony Stark aka Iron Man and he was made for the role.Tony Stark is the example of success:buiseness man,playboy billionaire and a brilliant inventor but his fame has it s bad side specially he s kidnapped by terrorists in Afghanistan.Tony builds a special armour to escape.Affected by the effects his weapons can create,Tony decides to protect the world as the armoured hero Iron Man.Downey is perfect for the role because he brings a lot of charisma and dynamic to Tony Stark in a great way.Thank god for him because he s a brilliant actor and Downey Jr will always be Iron Man.Jeff Brigdes was amazingly evil as Obadiah Stane.Stane is Tony s mentor and family friend who has thirsty for power and creates his own armour to destroy Stark at any cost.Brdges was great as usual and i love this kind of villain.Terrence Howard was ok James Rhodes,Tony s friend.I think Don Cheadle will be better in Iron Man 2.Gwyneth Paltrow was great as Pepper Potts but i would prefer Rachel McAdams in the role but Paltrow was great like usual.
Jon Favreau did a great job on bringing Iron Man to the big screen in a huge way and direction was briliant on making such a fun movie and at same time respecting the comic book.I more excited than never for the sequel.
Iron Man is without doubt one of the best summer blockbuster of 2008 and one of my favorite comic book movies in years.Iron Man is here to stay and i hope they make more movies with the Armoured Avenger.Bring it,Iron Man 2!!!

In the Battle of Thermopylae of 480 BC an alliance of Greek city-states fought the invading Persian army in the mountain pass of Thermopylae. Vastly outnumbered, the Greeks held back the enemy in one of the most famous last stands of history. Persian King Xerxes lead a Army of well over 100,000 (Persian king Xerxes before war has about 170,000 army) men to Greece and was confronted by 300 Spartans, 700 Thespians and other Slave soldiers. Xerxes waited for 10 days for King Leonidas to surrender or withdraw left with no options he moved. The battle lasted for about 3 days and after which all 300 Spartans were killed. The Spartan defeat was not the one expected, as a local shepherd, named Ephialtes, defected to the Persians and informed Xerxes of a separate path through Thermopylae, which the Persians could use to outflank the Greeks.

I always was a huge comic book fan in my entire life and one of the characters i always loved was definetly Wonder Woman.When i first watched the trailer of the animated movie of The Amazon Princess, i was preety excited to see it.The result?An amazing and spectacular animated that will satisfy the fans of the greatest female superhero of all time.In the honor of the 75th anniversary of DC Comics,Wonder Woman is such a exciting animated masterpiece.
Keri Russell provides the voice of the Amazon princess Diana,the only daughter of Queen Hippolyta who helds the responsability to stop the god of war Ares to destroy the world of men.During her mission,Diana reunites all the courage and strenght that will make her known as Wonder Woman.Keri Russell suited up very well as Wonder Woman and she was able to capture the true spirit of the character.She was perfect as the voice of Wonder Woman just like Kevin Conroy as Batman.Nathan Fillion was great as Steve Trevor,Diana s partner and he brought a lot of humour the movie.Alfred Molina was fantastic as Ares,the god of war who wants to destroy not only the world of men but also the gods of Olimpo.
Lauren Montgomery did a great job on bringing Wonder Woman in a big way to animation.Her direction was great and also it wouldn t be possible the movie getting made if it wasn t for Bruce Timm,the mastermind behind Batman:The Animated Series.
Wonder Woman is great animated adventure that the fans will enjoy many years.Another great DC animated movie that is truly faithfull to the legend of the Amazon Princess that is one of the greatest female superheroes of all time.Can t wait to see more DC animated movies.

The Punisher is one of Marvel s most popular anti heroes and he s not like Spider-Man or Iron Man.The Punisher shows no mercy when it comes to kill criminals.I always liked The Punisher because he s one of the most badass heroes of comic books.When i first saw this movie in theaters,i absolutely loved it.Based on the graphic novels Welcome Back Frank and Punisher:Year One,this movie shows what The Punisher is all about.
Thomas Jane is absolutely amazing as Frank Castle aka The Punisher and he s a perfect fit to the character.Frank Castle is a ex FBI agent who has a happy life with his family but his life becomes a living nightmare when his family is brutally murdered by Howard Saint s henchmen.Now Frank starts his path of revenge and decides to hunt down the responsible for his family s death as The Punisher.Thomas Jane brings such a toughness,intensity and emotion to the character because we can feel the pain and anger of a man who lost everything but he s about to bring the punishement.Jane is the perfect actor for The Punisher and the most faithfull.John Travolta is fantastic as Howard Saint,the ruthless crime boss who becomes Castle s main target.What it comes to play villains,Travolta is amazing.Howard Saint is such a relentless villain who doesn t care who he kills but he s about to feel the wrath of a man driven by revenge.The death scene of Saint is one of the most badass scenes of the scene.
Jonathan Henslight s direction was fantastic and he really a kick ass action movie in the line of old school tough movies like Dirty Harry and Death Wish.Henslight made the movie The Punisher fans would die for and making forget the terrible version of 1989.
The Punisher is such a bad ass movie and honours the spirit of the character.Another great adaptation of one of the most badass comic book heroes of Marvel:The Punisher.
