This movie has so many powerful moments - it sends you from tears to joy, and the Hans Zimmer soundtrack adds to the emotion. Although a fictional (and very good) story, this movie marked the return to the historical epic genre with a great attempt at recreating ancient Rome, albeit borrowing features from various different periods.

Hilarious interwoven tales of British gangsters with an equally light-hearted score. Very much a Pulp Fiction set in London.

Clever, witty life-story drama about a disillusioned worker/husband/father who hungers for some excitement in his life.

Very clever and strange movie about a man who discovers a portal into John Malkovich! The first Charlie Kaufman also stars Cameron Diaz as you've never seen her before.

Original thriller about someone, who has no short-term memory, seeking revenge for the death of their wife. Full of fascinating ideas of how someone can live with such a condition, which are easy to relate too. Plus the film adds to the intrigue by playing out from end to beginning, constantly rewinding each time he forgets. This isn't just a gimmick. It really helps the viewer to understand the protagonist.

Isaac Asimov inspired story of a domestic robot becoming human. Surprisingly good, and the ending is simply excellent.

Finally got around to watching this from start to finish after having caught it part way through on many occasions. A silly American comedy, where everything that can go wrong meeting parents does go wrong. Just what you'd expect from a Ben Stiller movie in one of his best performances.

Fun spiritual successor to Total Recall with all the classic cliche Schwarzenegger moments we all love, but overall less inspired.

Entertaining Star Trek spoof that would make for a good Xmas flick, but can be a bit grating.
