Toy Story 3 2010,  G)
Toy Story 3
You v gotta friend in me , no toys get left behind. Despite this, I was not worried when I heard that there would be a thrid installment to Toy Story, my favourite movie as a child. The gap between Toy Story 1 and 2 was four years, which is respectable. It's been eleven years since Toy Story 2, so it seems like it's been too long for the third insallment to be released, right? Wrong. The reason I was not worried was because I knew the movie was in safe hands: Pixar, the best animation studio. The Toy story trilogy is a legend and is my favorite trilogy of all time. The first computer animated motion picture is back and better than ever in the third and final chapter! The time has come Andys all grown up so what must the toys do. Daycare. They go to a daycare called sunnyside where they thought sweet but they were wrong! As it turns out daycare is a toys very own prison. So they must escape. And watch out WOODY or BUZZ LIGHTYEAR could die. This is my favorite animated movie know. I love all those toys except lotso they v gotta friend in me. AND I WILL LOVE WOODY BUZZ AND JESSIE TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!

Kaze no tani no Naushika (Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind) (Warriors of the Wind) 1984,  PG)
Kaze no tani no Naushika (Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind) (Warriors of the Wind)
Plot/Summary,This impressive work from acclaimed Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki represents a significant departure from traditional anime. Foregoing the gritty storylines, extreme violence, and adult content found throughout many anime, Miyazaki's works borrow as much from fairy tales as they do from science fiction. Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind is no exception. Centuries after war has devastated the earth, Princess Nausicaa leads the people of the Valley of the Wind. Feuding clans fight with planes and tanks as well as swords in a world that is both primitive and futuristic. In addition to her people's conflicts with other factions, Nausicaa must also contend with the insects of the jungle including the Ohmu, a race of giant, intelligent bugs that poisons the surrounding atmosphere - and is spreading rapidly. The setting of this 1984 animation owes much to the post-apocalypse genre spawned by Mad Max and other films, and the political subplot is often compared to Frank Herbert's Dune. However, the heroine here has more in common with the female protagonists of the Disney musicals such as Pocohantas and Mulan; Nausicaa is more concerned with harmony and communication than with conquest and revenge. Sympathetic to the Ohmu, she learns she must approach them with understanding to achieve peace and restore the dying world. This film is beautifully animated and written, and the moral to this ecological fable is difficult to miss. The film was dubbed into English in the mid-2000s, hence the presence of such actors as Shia LeBoeuf, who wasn't born yet when the film was originally made
My Review
This Film to me is what an anime truly is. All you need to do is watch Naruto,Bleach,Dragon Ball Z(yes Dragon ball Z is an anime) and this to know what an anime truly is. This film is a masterpiece Directed by a famous japenese director named Hayao Miyazaki who i hope got an oscar for best director when this film was originally released. This triumphant film in stars great English actors who do a great job at bringing the film at it's intrest point along with it's story. Actors such as Allison Lohman as Nausica, Patrick Stewart as Lord Yupa,Shia LaBeouf as Asbel and Uma Thurman as Kushanna. The story revolves around a Princess named Nausica who lives in the valley of the wind, her people are threatened by the insects rage and while Kushanna's people try to take over the world and destroy the insects all in the while Nausica must protect her people with her new friend Asbel while her people defend themselves against a war from Kushanna's people. What makes this film engaging and entertaining at the same time is that one girl try's to protect herself while trying not kill or harm or wound anyone that stands in her way. As you can see she is trying to stop her enemy's not with violence but with peace. While she try's not to harm anyone there are still a great amount of action sequences. The story is very interesting but not very engaging but that dosn't mean much on the engaging part. There is not one bad thing about this film. That is why I give Nausica:Valley of the wind a 5 out of 5.

The Secret World of Arrietty 2012,  G)
The Secret World of Arrietty
Plot/Summary,Arrietty (Bridgit Mendler), a tiny, but tenacious 14-year-old, lives with her parents (Will Arnett and Amy Poehler) in the recesses of a suburban garden home, unbeknownst to the homeowner and her housekeeper (Carol Burnett). Like all little people, Arrietty (AIR-ee-ett-ee) remains hidden from view, except during occasional covert ventures beyond the floorboards to "borrow" scrap supplies like sugar cubes from her human hosts. But when 12-year-old Shawn (David Henrie), a human boy who comes to stay in the home, discovers his mysterious housemate one evening, a secret friendship blossoms. If discovered, their relationship could drive Arrietty's family from the home and straight into danger.
My Review
Ghibli studios has done it once more. They have made two of my favorite films of all time in which they were both given 5 out of 5. I have not seen Spirited Away but i have seen two of them Nausica of The Valley of the Wind and Princess Mononoke and those two films in my opinion are two of the greatest pieces of film history and that is not said lightly in the end I love those two films. Now,let's talk Arrietty. The Secret World of Arrietty is a an anime that revolves around a little girl named Arrietty who is a borrower just like her father, she begins her first borrowing task one night with her father while trying to get some tissues she is seen by the boy named Shawn who is staying at the house because his aunt believes he needs some piece and quiet before going to surgery. After Shawn see's Arrietty he try's to befriend her but Arrietty and her family must move with another borrower but her mother is captured by Shawn's housekeeper. This movie is another fine piece of cinema that must not be forgotten it's well acted. It has a great voice over cast of actor's who capture the heart of these great characters Bridget Mendler as Arriety, Amy Poehler as Arriety's Mother, Will Arnett as Arriety's Father, Carol Burnett as The Housekeeper, and David Henrie as Shawn. All these actors did a fantastic job as these characters. It has great cinematography. And my favorite aspect of this movie is that it did what Valley of the Wind almost did it touched my heart without making me cry. Which is very rare in a film that touch's my heart, usually when a film touch's my heart it makes me cry as where Arrietty didn't. It is one of my favorite movie's of all time and another great piece for both children and adults alike. I highly recommend this well adapted film adapted by the children's book series The Borrowers and it truly deserves it's 5 out of 5.

Princess Mononoke (Mononoke-hime) 1999,  PG-13)
Princess Mononoke (Mononoke-hime)
Plot/Summary,Directed by renowned animator Hayao Miyazaki, this anime has broken a number of box office records in its native Japan. Essentially a statement on the ecological devastation brought on by human advancement, the story follows the battle between Princess Mononoke and a mining village.
My Review
This third directed by Hayao Miyazaki film is another great addition to anime films. This epic anime directed by Hayao Miyazaki revolves around a boy named Prince Ashitaka (voiced by Billy Crudup) is infected with a lethal curse, and must travel to find a cure. On his journey he discovers himself caught in a battle between a mining town and animals of the surrounding forest. A girl named San raised by wolves leads the animals, but the forest harbors deadly supernatural powers. This movie to me is alot similar to the Valley of the wind not because of the director but because that the film is so engaging and well done. It's movies like these that i wish where live action. But other then that the acting is great, the characters are very like able and this is just such a fantastic film that deserves a 5 out of 5.

Castle in the Sky 1989,  PG)
Castle in the Sky
Plot/Summary,A young boy and a girl with a magic crystal must race against pirates and foreign agents in a search for a legendary floating castle.
My Review
Wonderful fantasy describes Castle in the Sky. This other great Ghibli Studios film sets a high goal on animated/anime films alike. This is what a children's film should feel like(along with The Secret World of Arriety,My Neighbor Tortoro, and Nausica of The Valley of The Wind.) This movie is so well done thanks to this awesome director(Best animation director) Hayo Miyazaki. The characters Pazu,Sheeta, and Dola are such amazing well done characters portrayed beautifully by their voice over actors James Van Der Beek,Anna Paquin,Mark Hamill, and Cloris Leachman. The animation is as beautiful as always. Castle in the Sky(Laputa in the Sky) revolves around Pazu,an engineer's apprentice, finds a young girl named Sheeta, floating down from the sky, wearing a glowing pendant. Togther, they discover both are searching for a legendary floating castle named Laputa and vow to unravel the mystery of the luminous crystal around Sheeta's neck. Their quest won't be easy ,however. There are greedy air pirates, secret government agents and astounding obstacles to keep them from the truth -and each other. Mark Hamill voices the villain of this story and as always delivers a great performance as a villain so i hoped he was given an oscar for his role but i doubt it. Anyway,Castle in the Sky(Laputa in the Sky) is a beautiful fantasy animation film that should not be forgotten, that's why i give Castle in the Sky(Laputa in the Sky) a 5 out of 5.
