The Money Pit 1986,  PG)
The Money Pit
This is my favourite comedy movie of all time. And regardless of what others have said this movie never fails to make me laugh even if I can be in a bad mood. Anyone who doesn't laugh at this movie doesn't have a funny bone. I just love the nice and funny plot with really unforgettable moments, especially at the first half of the movie. Tom Hanks always does amazing performances which is the reason he's my favourite actor and he plays along Shelley Long having both a good chemistry on the screen. The story shows the misadventures of the couple who is in desperate need of a place to live and when they found it ... the funny troubles also start with the house. This brilliant and chaotic comedy worth a viewing.

50 First Dates 2004,  PG-13)
50 First Dates
I am pleased to say, this film was really cute, quite funny and charming in some ways.
Most of the funny scenes are showed by Ula, Rob Schneider's character, who provides additional comic parts. Barrymore's character, Lucy, is living out the same day of her life over and over, that's quite sad. However, 50 First Dates is masterful in its exploration of this theme, no comparison with the Groundhog's Day. It seems there is nothing Lucy can do about her memory problem that would make a difference in an tomorrow until she mets Henry, played by Adam Sandler. The charming point is to imagine how wonderful it is to fall in love every day for the first time. And Sandler's character is simply awesome being that perfect man who will do romantic and lovely things to get the chance to date with the woman he loves ? every day! Although, the movie has an unexpected ending, it really worth watching it 50 times!

Planes, Trains and Automobiles 1987,  R)
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
This movie is better on a second watching but it is just pure mad genius! It's a laugh riot and John Candy was really a comic genius. And Martin is also great playing Neal, a stressful workaholic who wants to get home in time for Thanksgiving, but his goal is increasingly difficult, as every mode of transport he tries is cancelled, breaks down or simply vanishes. Things go worse for him in this journey while he frequently meets Del, Candy's character, who is the opposite of Neal's personality because even being lonely and poor, Del has a positive way of living and a warm heart that makes him overcome each difficult that appears on their way. The movie relies on those realistic situations that can go wrong, but on the screen we just laugh about them so the story shows a different way to face these situations: with a lot of humour!

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels 1988,  PG)
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
This is a goofy film! I loved it! I think if you like films that spoof you'll love this! The writing is well-done and also the acting, which is mostly Martin parts, are the aspects of the film most worthy of praise. While few scenes can be clever, it is clever in a really goofy way. It's really a funny flick!

The Jerk 1979,  R)
The Jerk
Steve Martin stands out as the prime moving force in the film.
In some parts, the humor is a little offensive because Martin, who is white outside, has been raised in an afro-american family from Mississippi and never realized something was quite different. However, it shows money it is not everything that matters. The story tells about a man who goes from being poor to being rich... but unfortunately never stops being incredibly a jerk. And there are some really funny scenes that can make us laugh.

Shallow Hal
This style of movie is surely not everyone's taste, as the overall rating isn't particularly high and this movie has been pretty much forgotten by most people. However, I have always liked this film and have seen it three times. If you're expecting some sort of edgy movie that mocks the beauty industry, you'll be disappointed, but it isn't offensive at all. Actually, it is the opposite: the story shows love it is most important than beauty! It is a nice and funny film but not necessarily for all tastes.

Anchorman - The Legend Of Ron Burgundy 2004,  PG-13)
Anchorman - The Legend Of Ron Burgundy
I had not seen the Anchorman until I saw it on cable today. It was a movie that because of negative comments from others, I thought maybe I shouldn't see it. But the film is pretty hilarious! Will Ferrell is a funny man, no doubt. The humor is clever sometimes focusing in the real prejudicy women must to face professionally but the movie shows the reality in a funny way. This movie makes sometimes a mockery of the real women with real stories to tell about breaking into the man's world of television. However, on other scenes the humor goes through delicious funny lines. Anchorman does have some good points, many of the Ferrel scenes are very very funny. So there are few belly laugh's in the movie that can worth seen it.

White Chicks
I was surprised by this movie, because it isn't one of those movies that are so predictable, that may be funny, but end up being boring. I laughed until I couldn't take it no more! And I should say I wasn't in a good mood but there were some spots in the film where I doubled over in laughter. A lot of people find the plot line to ridiculous to believe, but hey guys: it's a Comedy! Everything clicks in this laugh-out-loud gem. Have fun !

Dumb and Dumber 1997,  PG-13)
Dumb and Dumber
For a comedy movie, it has a well writen script, it has a good storyline and down right funny. Jim Carrey is funniest ever! The humor in the film is amazingly plentiful and it was the first time I felt my belly hurts from laughing too much! Geez! There are a few scenes that should be real comedy classics!

We're No Angels 1989,  PG-13)
We're No Angels
Despite the occasional humor, this movie really captures a number of incidences which all lonely people can relate to. It has that one special quality which most other films that portray religious controversial them can lack. That is that instead of looking upon ex-prisioners and single mothers as losers who nobody could want, they show them for what they usually are, regular people who have been more unlucky than lucky with life. And geez! There are three great actors starring on this movie: Demi Moore, De Niro and Sean Penn! If you haven't watched it yet, you'll probably enjoy it!
