8
Shark Tale 2004,  PG)
Shark Tale
I was worried this might be aimed more at the very young than some recent animation films but I can say this has something for everyone, no matter their age! With an all star voice cast that includes Will Smith, Robert De Niro, Angelina Jolie amongst many other well known actors, there is plenty of talent to be heard. It's very good how they manage to include characteristics of the actors in their animated characters. Oscar is clearly Will Smith just by looking at the face! The animation is great, with strong bright colours and plenty of detail. The sound track is very strong to with Chrisitina Aguilera's Car Wash the main theme song.
For the youngsters there are plenty of funny scenes, and characters. For the older generation their are some great in jokes as De Niro's Great White Shark has a Godfather like role! If you liked Finding Nemo, Flushed Away, Toy Story you will have a Whale of a time here to!
9
Toy Story 1995,  G)
Toy Story
A great animation, a good mix of action and humour. Very detailed art work.
10
A Bug's Life 1998,  G)

11
Flushed Away 2006,  PG)
Flushed Away
Good fun for all ages with a strong voice over cast, which Ian McKellen excels at as the posh Toad with a devious plan. Very well animated as well.
12

Watership Down
A timeless classic with a great voice cast. If a cartoon could make you cry this would be it!

A great mix of live action and cartoons. Great fun for all ages, ahead of it's time. A cult classic!
14
Beowulf 2007,  PG-13)
Beowulf
A very well animated film with a great level of detail and the characters look like the voice actors. A good if simple story, but quite violent. Not for youngsters!
15
The Lion King 1994,  G)
The Lion King
A great 2-d animated film as a young lion cub comes back to the pride to rule as King of the Jungle.
16
Toy Story 2 1999,  G)
Toy Story 2
Not quite as good a story as the first. However just as well animated and enjoyable as the first.
17

Monsters, Inc.
Another great animated film from Disney's Pixar. Plenty of fun and laughs for all ages.
18
Over the Hedge 2006,  PG)
Over the Hedge
A cool very detailed animation film, good fun but aimed more towards younger ages I felt.
19
Scooby-Doo 2002,  PG)
Scooby-Doo
I was very surprised but this is fun for all ages! The cast for the film was spot on and Lillard and Cardellini sound so like Shaggy and Velma it's uncanny.
20
Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed 2004,  PG)
Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed
It was ok, more of the same but I liked the first one better. Mainly because it had a stronger cast, typical Scooby storyline and more fun overall.
21
Akira 1988,  R)
Akira
A great Anime film, very cool and stylised.
22
Aladdin 1992,  G)
Aladdin
This is worht watching for Robin Williams doing the voice of the genie alone, very funny!
23
Wallace and Gromit in the Wrong Trousers 1993,  Unrated)
Wallace and Gromit in the Wrong Trousers
My favourite of the Wallace and Gromit films. One of Wallace's inventions catches the eye of a sinister penguin who comes to lodge! lol
24
Small Soldiers 1998,  PG-13)
Small Soldiers
A great little movie I stumbled across. A bunch of good and bad toy soldiers are battling it out at a family residence. Quite funny and well made.
25
Robots 2005,  PG)
Robots
A good animation film with the excellent vocal skills of Robin Williams. Not as good a story of many other recent offerings but overall it's well animated and carries a slight message.
26
Shrek the Third 2007,  PG)
Shrek the Third
Not bad but I didn't think the story was as good as the first two or as funny!
27
Antz 1998,  PG)
Antz
A pretty good animation film with a strong voice over cast. Just missing something that makes it not quite as good as A bugs life.
28
The Transformers - The Movie 1986,  PG)
The Transformers - The Movie
The best cartoon film around when I was growing up, great cartoon on a massive scale.
29
Robin Hood 1973,  G)
Robin Hood
A funny Disney version of Robin Hood as all the characters are animals.
30
101 Dalmatians 1961,  G)
101 Dalmatians
One of my favourite Disney cartoons with great characters as 101 Dalmatians need to be rescued from the evil Cruella De Vil!
31
Lady and the Tramp 1955,  G)
Lady and the Tramp
A classic cartoon Disney film, still be fun for today's kids!
32
The Rescuers 1977,  G)
The Rescuers
An enjoyable cartoon film.
33
Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit 2005,  G)
Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
A good entry in the Wallace and Gromit series. The characters look mored detailed than before and animation smoother. Has a good voice cast. Perfect for all ages.
34
TMNT 2007,  PG)
TMNT
A very good film with great CGI. Looks very much like a Pixar or Dreamworks film with a comic look. A great voice cast as well make for a good film but one more for the younger generation.
35
Garfield - The Movie 2004,  PG)
Garfield - The Movie
An ok live action film of the famous cartoon strip. Manages to keep the same sense of humour as the comics and it's good that Bill Murray did the voice over as he did with the cartoon show. Overall more of a movie for the youngsters, but Garfield fans will be fairly pleased.
36
Shrek the Halls 2007,  G)
Shrek the Halls
An ok mini Christmas helping of Shrek, would have been nice if it was just a bit longer!
37
Surf's Up 2007,  PG)
Surf's Up
A bright, colourful, well animated film about Penguins who surf! The level of detail in the film is amazing from the lighting, fur and the water look so real. It's enjoyable enough for the kids and the bigger kids to. It has plenty of extras on DVD as well!
38
Wallace and Gromit in 'A Matter of Loaf and Death' 2008,  G)
Wallace and Gromit in 'A Matter of Loaf and Death'
A pretty good entry into the Wallace and Gromit collection. However it is one of the short ones only 30 minutes long, some nice jokes as always but a very simple plot. Great for fans or youngsters but many would enjoy the longer and better curse of the Were-Rabbit.
39
Madagascar 2005,  PG)
Madagascar
This is an ok animation film, bright and colourful with a strong voice cast. It's fairly funny for all ages but in terms of story and detail of more recent animations, it falls a tad short. Perfect for younger viewers.
40
WALL-E 2008,  G)
WALL-E
A brilliant film in so many ways!! It is so simple with barely any dialogue, but it doesn't need it you can tell what is going on by the actions and expressions can say more than a thousands words with a film like this. It's cute, funny and smart and carries a message about the environment. Technically the level of detail in the animation is amazing and set new standards for all animations. There are slight influences from Short circuit in the design of Wall-e and 2001: A Space Odyssey as well later in the film. Do not miss this film!!
41
Biohazard: Degeneration (Resident Evil: Degeneration) 2008,  R)
Biohazard: Degeneration (Resident Evil: Degeneration)
A very good CGI animated film with a great level of detail, really makes it realistic as possible. They even used motion capture for the characters in the film for greater realism. At last a Resident Evil film that does tie in with the games! Bringing Claire Redfield and Leon S.Kennedy back together for more Zombie mayhem. Set 7 years after the Resident Evil 2 game where Racoon City was nuked and in the time line of the games after Resi Evil 4 and before 5. The story plot is simple but this is really like watching a playback of playing the game. If your a Resident Evil fan you will love this. The DVD also has tons of extras, making of, Leon interview, Resident Evil 5 footage plenty to entertain you.
42
Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties 2006,  PG)
Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties
A surprisingly good part animated comedy based on the Garfield comic strip. I liked this one more than the first one. This has plenty of other animals being voiced over by a range of well known actors including Bob Hoskins as a British bulldog and Vinnie Jones as a rottweiler, what else? With Bill Murray voicing Garfield. Perfect for kids and older fans of Garfield.
43
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ice Age 3) 2009,  PG)
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ice Age 3)
Another great Ice age film with plenty of new characters. Just as good as the first two films and I liked it slightly more than the second. Great to see some dinosaur characters. Plenty of funny moments and great detailed animation work.
44
Son of the Mask 2005,  PG)
Son of the Mask
A big let down from the first. I got the impression this is aimed at a younger audience. The dog character is funny and animated baby some will like but otherwise not much to see here. Realized the main character is the guy from the video store in the Scream films!
45
Up 2009,  PG)
Up
A very good and enjoyable film that all ages will love. The story sounded odd at first but it's a very cute film. It has a great 10 minute opening which is nearly silent and quite sad for a Pixar film. Once we get to the old guy getting up out of bed and setting off to fulfill a promise it actually becomes quite funny in places. Definitely one all ages will love. Once again the level of detail in the animation is amazing, they seem to set new levels with each new film!
46
Bolt 2008,  PG)
Bolt
One of the better animations I have seen in a while, had the pleasure to watch it in HD, make out all the lil details, even the fur! Quite a good story line, a bit more grown up than I thought it would be. It might not be overly funny as some but I enjoyed it all the same anyway. Check it out if you haven't seen it yet!
47
Toy Story 3 2010,  G)
Toy Story 3
Another great edition on the Pixar collection and possibly the best Toy Story yet! The detail on the toys is great, there is plenty of humour. I liked seeing the new characters based on older toys, brought back a few memories! The story line is great and the film is filled with scenes that will make you smile and laugh. Go see it!
48
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole 2010,  PG)
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole
I couldn't wait to see this after watching the trailer in 3D on an imax screen! It looked amazing and seemed to take animation up to a new level and the 3D looked amazing and so detailed!! Unfortunately I only got to see the film on DVD and missed the 3D excitement. The story has been done several times before, but it's still enjoyable. One kids will surely love, try to catch it in 3D if you can!!
49
Cars 2006,  G)
Cars
A decent entry to the Pixar garage of films. This did feel aimed a lot more at a younger audience, where their other films have something for all ages. A good voice cast and shiny motors with some impressive animation again. I loved the "Cars" versions of Toy Story, Monsters Inc at the end when the credits roll!
50
Tron Legacy 2010,  PG)
Tron Legacy
A visually stunning film! I would have loved to catch this at the cinema in 3D to really appreciate it. It has very cool sets, amazing SFX that takes CGI to the next level. It has a great soundtrack to by Daft Punk, a bit more of the Tron bikes would have been nice. Sadly though the plot and story in general don't match the impressive visuals. Instead just marvel at the awesome light suits and technical excellence of the film!
51
Kung Fu Panda 2008,  PG)
Kung Fu Panda
A greatly detailed animation film that is full of fun. You can tell when an animation film has had a lot of time, care and thought put into it. The quality of the lighting, shadows, reflections and even fur are up there with the best animations. It's bright and colourful as well to appeal to the kids. Didn't notice the strong voice cast until the credits came up including Jackie Chan, to have all of them in one film is impressive, in an animated film even more so. This is a funny film all ages should enjoy. Looking forward to the sequel out now!
52
Monster House 2006,  PG)
Monster House
A very good animated film about a house that is actually a living monster! It has a different type of animation style to most, no cute characters and bright colours here, which is in keeping with the story. It's still well animated with a good sense of depth adding a feeling of 3D space in the film. It's a little slow to start but soon picks up. It's a mix of a children's adventure with a Twilight zone story.
53
The Last Unicorn 1982,  G)
The Last Unicorn
An impressive voice cast with a touching story, although a bit dated now visually. Will mainly appeal to a very young audience.
54
The Animatrix 2003,  Unrated)
The Animatrix
Not what I expected this is a collection of short stories from the world of the matrix. Some only a few mins long and varying in style from cgi, cartoon, anime, manga and comic book. Would have liked to have seen longer versions of the better stories.
55
Monsters vs. Aliens 2009,  PG)
Monsters vs. Aliens
A fun enough animation comedy from Pixar. It's not quite up there with some of their greats, but still entertaining for younger kids.
56
Rango 2011,  PG)
Rango
A good animation with some slick visuals and decent humour. Just seen how good the voice cast line up os, not recognizing most of them. It has nice little in joke to one or two of Depp's other films and westerns in general. Just thought the actual story was about as basic as it could be, still an entertaining watch though.
57
Rio 2011,  G)
Rio
A good colourful, bright, funny film for everyone to enjoy. Technically very good animation, a good voice cast and music. It's not a standout film like ice age or Finding Nemo but still fun.
