Pulp Fiction
A true masterpiece, director and screenwriter Quentin Tarantino mashes film noir with gangsters and a non-linear story line and puts into one of the best film of all time. it's Pulp Fiction!

Set in modern day LA, Pulp Fiction has an three stories which overlap in which the key characters interact.

The first story "Vincent Vega and Marsellus Wallace's Wife" Hit men Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) and Vince Vega (John Travolta) are out to collect a briefcase from Brett who double crossed their boss Marsellus Wallace Ving Rhames), on the way there Vic expresses concerns about having to take Marsellus' wife Mia (Uma Thurman) out as he heard Marsellus threw a man out of a forth story window for giving Mia a foot massage.

The second story "The Gold Watch" follows Boxer Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis) who's paid to throw a fight by Marsellus, instead he bets on himself and wins but must run from Marsellus.

The third story "The Bonnie Situation" ties up the loose ends from the begging, Vic and Jules pay a visit to Jules friend Jimmy (Tarantino) to get cleaned up after a "slight" mishap. This story introduces Harvey Keitel as smooth talking fast working problem solver Wolf. Meanwhile Jimmy fear his wife will come back from work to see a blood soaked car and a man with out a head in the garage.

In typical Tarantino style the dialogue crackles with whip smart monologues, and are laced with humour. An all star cast led by John Travolta in a great comeback role, Ving Rhames, Uma Thurman, Harvey Keitel, TIm Roth and Amanda Plummer as young lovers and even of course the director Quentin Tarantino. However the real star of the film is Samuel L. Jackson who steals absolutely every scene he's in. Such memorable characters don't come along ever and this ends up being a great ensemble acting group.

With great actors playing memorable characters with genius dialogue from arguably one of the greatest scripts ever written Pulp Fiction is an unforgettable film which is an absolute classic and one of the greatest films of the 90's and of all time.

pure genius, the plot is so thrilling with so many turns. It's awesome to see such memorable characters like Verbal in modern movies. The acting is fantastic same with the script. Kevin Spacey really had a good last of half of the 90's with The Usual Suspect, LA confidential and American Beauty. The end of the movie is just awesome one of the best endings ive ever seen even if it was a bit predictable.

The Social Network 2010,  PG-13)
The Social Network
The Social Network is the heavily fictionalized story of how the social networking site Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg at Harvard in 2003. Acclaimed director David Fincher (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Zodiac, Fight Club, Seven) directs the Social Network. The casting is excellent with Jesse Eisenberg playing Mark Zuckerberg who is being sued by his former best friend Eduardo Saverin because Mark reduces Eduardo's share of Facebook from 34% to .03%. To add to all this twins, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, and their partner Divya Narendra are also suing Mark for stealing the idea of Facebook from them.

The script written by Aaron Sorkin, should be nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the Oscars this year. Sorkin adapted the screenplay from Ben Mezchrich's novel The Accidental Billionaires. Jesse Eisenberg does a fine job as Mark Zuckerberg, but the acting that really stood out to me was Andrew Garfield's portrayal of Eduardo Saverin, I think Garfield should have been nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor and I'm shocked that he didn't. Justin Timberlake, also surprised me in this movie, he plays Sean Parker the founder of free music website Napster who latches onto Facebook and helps it grow. I really thought Justin Timberlake would be bad to terrible in this movie but I was very surprised. He's not going to get an Oscar but very solid acting.

The Social Network has some technical talk that some people might not understand but the movie is still easy to follow. The humor in the movie is smart and works well with the mood of the actors. Peter Travers of The Rolling Stone Magazine says, "The Social Network is the movie of the year. But Fincher and Sorkin triumph by taking it further. Lacing their scathing wit with an aching sadness, they define the dark irony of the past decade."
I completely agree with Peter Travers, this movie does define the decade so well Facebook has changed the world we live in. The Social Network, should be a front runner for Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director but "The Kings Speech" could pull of the upset. One of the best movies of the year, possibly of the decade. I give this movie a definite A+.

Zodiac 2007,  R)
Zodiac
Zodiac is a master piece from David Fincher. This is easily one of the top 5 underrated movies of the decade. I'm honestly surprised how bad it did at the box office with Robert Downey Jr, Jake Gyllenhaal and Mark Ruffalo leading the all-star cast. This is also directed by David Fincher who directs Fight Club and se7en.This movie is about the Zodiac killer who held the San Francisco bay area in terror during the late 60's and early 70's.

The acting in this movie awesome. Each character is cast perfectly. Gyllenhaal delivers one of his best acting performances in his young career he pays the role of a naive young man perfectly. Gyllenhaal plays Robert Graysmith a cartoonist for the San Francisco Chronicle who becomes caught up in the case and becomes obsessed with finding out who the Zodiac is. Mark Ruffalo is really an underrated actor who gives great supporting roles and this movie is no different. He plays SFP detective Dave Toschi who is assigned to the San Francisco killings. Robert Downey Jr. plays Paul Avery the chronicle's crime reporter. Anthony Edwards plays Toschi's police partner and his acting is also very strong.

This movie is psychologically thrilling which is great after Fight Club and Se7en. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and is very entertaining. About an hour or so into the movie it becomes clear about every characters motives and such because of the strong beginning hour that lays all the ground work. I admit in the last hour or so it does become a bit long and boring but regains its former beginning hour in the last 20 minutes.

It's a shame that this movie didn't do better at the box office cus it would have been an best picture contender. This is so much better then Antonement.

If you're a fan a psychological thrillers you should defiantly see this movie, it has some scenes that will scare the shit out of you. One of Fincher's best films and one of the best of 2007 and the decade.
