Drive 2011,  R)
Drive
Well paced, beautifully shot and loaded with minimally played out drama packed scenes make this a gem from the opening shot til the end credits (questionably present in a pink script font). With the simple yet subtly complex characters and the pulsating electronic soundtrack you could easily believe you were watching an 80s French classic. Certainly the best film I've seen this year, make sure you see it too :)

Kill List 2012,  Unrated)
Kill List
Brutally realistic, darkly twisted, a wonderfully original thriller/horror that pulls no punches. The ending can be guessed a mile off but somebody please explain why she was protecting the house?
