So...vampires,those blood suckers are everywhere. Am i slightly disappointed?Yes I am, Mostly because of all the overuse vampire issue, other than that it's a really captivating and disturbing (at places) movie.Still, i prefer the Full -of-Vengeance Chan-Wook.
Dre Barrymore is a rock star! Not something that i would remember for years to come but entertaining and funny.I don't ever care how embarrassing Ellen Page looks in roller skates with those tinny skinny legs, she OWNS them !(in the movie at least i'm not sure about her roller skating abilities )
And this is supposedly a movie that should be in the same category with Inglorious Basterds ? Well when i think about it Avatar it's in there too but, WHY?This is an average rom com only with Georgy Clooney in it. Ohhh! Georgy Cloonie its in it!!! Wait what? Reitman the dushbag directed it?Than it definitely deserves an Oscar nomination. Don't get me wrong i loved Juno, and i found Thank you for smoking rather amusing, but this was SO lamE!
As the movie started i taught it was gonna be one of my favorites. Its a Terry Gilliam movie as we all know it, inventive, messy, colorful and over crowded. The idea was good but the quality of the realization faded away especially towards the ending. Nevertheless the movie doesn't fail to sent the message of how superficial and blind people are really like nowadays and how little we need to be truly happy. My question is, was it the unexpected death of Heath Ledger that changed the movie?I guess we'll never know.
So, I finally saw it. And i was pretty much convinced that is going to be a comedy that makes fun of alien movies in a sort of a mockumentary kind of way. It was like watching Steve Carrel in The Office just that they were not dealing with paper but with aliens.I wished it went on like that but it did't.Then i kind of took it seriously with all that biochemistry crap and people becoming aliens plus that little alien kid was fucking adorable. And toward the end it became what i previously expected to be, having seen only the trailer, a big loud Transformerish looking, species shooting at each other and fighting for the big guns (The aliens had way cooler guns obviously) and that was about it. Turns out we have a lot of thing in common with the fellow visitors.Oh and just for the record eating during this film...not a good idea, i should know that.
"I have also invented some new words. "Confuzzled", which is being confused and puzzled at the same time, "snirt", which is a cross between snow and dirt, and "smushables", which are squashed groceries you find at the bottom of the bag. I have sent a letter to the Oxford Dictionary people asking them to include my words but I have not heard back. "
I actually loved this!A friendship between socially demented compulsive eater and a lonely 8-year old girl is not the one that would usually work out,but it does and it's amazing. The portrait of the characters is funny and original making them interesting and more fun than they would probably be in real life.I loved the script is the best script ever used in a animation before, when i think about it i think it is the best animation i have ever seen.I had a smile on my face trough out the whole movie, that never happened to me before,it was delightful. It is a story about the outcast and the misfits, those are the stories i love the most .Pixar's overrated little movies can suck it because this my friends is a masterpiece!
Bunny and the Bull is the most imaginative movie I've seen lately. The characters are wacked out of their minds and the script is absolutely hilarious.
