Slumdog Millionaire 2008, R)
Slumdog Millionaire is an outstanding piece of work, from beginning to end, literally. It perfectly blends the hollywood and bollywod styles, with amazing shots throughout the film and a breathtaking screenplay adaptation. Definetely worthy of all the Oscars it won, and it is without a doubt, the best film from 2008 |

Amores Perros 2000, R)
I finally got to see this film that many call a modern Mexican classic. Along with Pan's Labrynth, this is the best film in decades. Alejandro González Iñárritu delivers his first great masterpiece along with a great screenplay and breathtaking performances by every single member of the cast, it couldn't of been better. And I have to say that this is one of the best car crashes I've seen in a motion picture and thus one of the best beginnings to a story. Since then, my eyes were glued to the screen. Masterpiece!! |

Winner of 4 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. A fast moving, intense action thriller. Scorsese, DiCaprio, and Nicholson together to create what I believe is one of the best films of the decade. The storytelling is amazing, and the music goes perfect with every scene. another scorcese classic! |

The Dark Knight 2008, PG-13)
An outstanding film. Much better than I had expected and probably the best superhero movie. Yes, better than superman and spiderman, not only for its great action scenes, but also for the moral and ethical lessons it gves throughout the film. Everyone in the cast makes this movie great, but the show is definetely stolen by Heath Ledger as the Joker. |

Clint Eastwood's best film as a director. An instant classic. A powerful, effective, chilling and brooding thriller. A stylish, masterful, intriguing and searing mystery. Unsettling and unforgettable. It sticks in your mind and dosent let go. It will take your breath away and knock you out. |

Apocalypto 2006, R)
For cinematography and costuming alone this movie deserves recognition. Add in an intense story and hot action it was well worth watching, so much so you don't even really pay attention to the subtitles. Historicaly accurate? Who knows, who cares. Be prepared for violence and blood though...a trend in a Mel Gibson film it seems. |

This movie is a great dark comedy, and typical from the coen brothers. Their way of making screenplays and then transform them into movies is just great. Then if you add the great acting by all these great actors, it becomes one of the best comedies of the year and of the last few years. I wonder what the coen brothers are going to do next. |
