This is worth seeing just for the fact that they integrate cartoon and live action brilliantly in not only the movie itself but in the story within the movie.
This is a fantastic romantic sort of comedy, I think it's probably the last really funny movie Murphy did. Plus, his playing multiple characters doesn't get in the way of the story, you hardly notice it really. The movie has a lot of great jokes and visual gags, and I recommend seeing it.
I absolutely loved this movie! It's the funniest movie I've seen all week. I especially loved John Astin as the mad scientist, he was fantastic, and the rest of the cast was great too. Everything works so well together in this movie, even the opening with the movie show works with the rest of the movie. There are many unexpected hilarious twists in this movie too. Plus we see some of the characters from the first movie in this one, as well as the very 80s recap of the original, so you'll be able to see this one even if you haven't seen the first, and a promise of another movie at the end. If you love comedy (and who doesn't) you need to see this movie!
After reading a bad review of this movie from a respected critic, I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Some scenes were a bit confusing at first(and the middle was a bit slow),I understood most of it later, but the ending is kinda weird. Anyway, this movie is full of surprises, and I loved it, it's a lot of fun. If you liked the first one, don't hesitate to see this sequel.
Goldthwait is hilarious, it's great to see him star in a film for once, but unfortunately the other star of this movie is a horse. I don't know about you, but talking horse scenes get on my nerves. Many of the scenes with Bobcat and the horse are hilarious, but the ones with only horses are torture. Overall, this movie is fun but stupid.
A very cute, funny, dramatic, enduring story which many people can relate to, and if not still find the film enjoyable. I did kind of expect the topic of having a baby to come up sooner in the story, since it's in the title, but it really works the way it is. The main character has a lot of strange day dreams throughout the movie, which I could do without, but some of them are funny so I didn't mind after a while. Anyway, I would recommend this movie to everyone.
It is hilarious how Aykroyd, as a patient turns the tables on his psychiatrist, impersonating him, and making him a more popular guy than ever. Walter Matthau's character is really funny too. Of course Grodin is mad about everything as usual, but still adds to the hilarity. I really enjoyed seeing this on TV last night! Loved the ending.
This action comedy was good, but could have been better. The beginning of the movie was quite boring, I didn't get into it until the scene when they're on the plane and Grodin makes a big fuss about not wanting to fly. If you like action comedies, though, you will like this movie more than I did.
First of all, I was disappointed that Baldwin was replaced, he was the main character! From that point on I didn't think I would enjoy this movie, I thought the first movie ended perfectly, why continue it? Then, we started to get more explanation for the tall man, as the characters now know what is really going on. Plus we get to see those weird flying balls of death again, which is cool, they really make the Phantasm series stand out. This movie is slightly different from the first, but the atmosphere stays the same, so I have to say this is a pretty good movie.
I loved the show, so I had to see the movie, but enough explanations. This is a badly made movie, it's silly, got bad special effects (worse than the show), and it adds Thor for some crazy reason. Still, I kinda liked it. It was funny because it was bad, and overall, it was fun to watch. Although it is quite unbelievable that David could go almost 2 years without becoming the Hulk!
This is a predictable action thriller movie from the 80s with all the trimmings. The only thing I liked about the movie was how the bad guy had that "donkey kong" style computer game to monitor Bridges' journey to save his wife. He set all kinds of traps for him too. Other than that last part of the movie, the rest was just so-so.
I was totally confused by this movie until about half way through, and it finally makes some sense in the end. There is good horror movie gore in this one, but the story isn't very good, and the end is predictable. Overall, it's a so-so film.
This movie could have been a lot better. Maybe a different director would have helped? Oh, and a different editor, the editing wasn't too great either. I was hoping that this was going to be a horror movie, but it's a thriller, not very different from other thrillers of the time. Of course there's a plot twist near the end, which I found really predictable, I mean I was expecting that guy as the killer from the beginning anyway. I did like the beginning where Spader is killed and then you see him again and think "wasn't he just killed?". He has a twin brother in the movie, which was kinda cool, but I wanted to see them both together at some point. Love Spader, but this movie isn't that great.
This zombie movie is pretty much the same as the first movie, except that the characters are more idiotic. The only character I thought was good was the doctor who didn't seem to think that the zombies were that big of a deal, which was really funny. This movie does have some funny stuff like that, but for the most part it's not all that scary and the rest of the cast is annoying. It's okay, but not very good.
The great actors in the movie give the best performances they can, but the story lets the audience down, especially the ending. I think the major problem I had with this movie was that I was confused about what Lee was really trying to get across to me. Plus, I'm a college student and still I cannot relate to the experiences of any of the characters. I don't even know anyone in a sorority or fraternity. This is a good attempt at ( I think) exploring cultural identity, but I think Lee could have done a better job at it. Overall, an interesting movie if you were ever in a frat or sorority, and like the music in the film, but if that doesn't describe you, this movie will leave you hanging.
This movie wasn't scary at all, it didn't even creep me out, not even at the end. I found it to be predictable and a lot like some other movies I've seen. It really is a good movie to teach people how not to parent: do not give your kids advice by having them talk to a doll, that just messes them up! I would not wish such unbalanced parents on any kid. Overall, this movie just didn't grab me.
Not bad, not good, sometimes boring, but very 80s. If you're a fan of Gibson, Pfiffer, or Russell, you should see this. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend this movie.
The cheesiest movie I've ever seen from the 80s (maybe). And not in a good way, this movie is bad. At first I was laughing at how cheesy it was, but it didn't stop, so I just started to hate it. Oh, and then there was that stupid rapping guy, he was so totally annoying!
