A classic Cronenberg movie. If you like his work, this is a must see. Also terrific for fans of Goldblum. A very interesting remake of a fantastic sci-fi horror movie.
Ever wonder what it would be like if machines attacked? Stephen King answers you with this film! Yes, he finally directs a movie, and Emilio Estevez stars! This is a really entertaining movie with a great story and a lot of suspense.
I loved a lot of things about this movie, but there are just two things in the end of the film which made me unable to rate it a full 5 stars. I loved how this film addressed the unemployment crisis in America. I loved that Emilio Estevez directs and stars in this movie. I loved Emilio's character, he was a hero to me too! I loved the comedy in the movie. And then the ending had to go ruin it for me. I still think this is a good movie, and everyone should check it out.
Usually sequels aren't so great, but this is a cut above the rest with a chainsaw! I wasn't too impressed with the original and I didn't expect much going into this one, but I was disturbingly and disgustingly surprised at how good this movie was. Great acting, plot, music, characters, and it's got a bit of humor too. Plus, I loved the end. If you love horror movies, you have to see this.
This movie was really fun, it's like a combination of a teen movie and an Evil Dead movie. It's really absurd at times, but it's supposed to be that way, and the story really worked. Plus, crazy actors and great music; I really recommend seeing this movie.
I really loved seeing Christian Slater when he was so young, but this is still a strange movie. Christian's character has a twisted mind, but I wouldn't say it's a step beyond insanity, he's just a misunderstood kid who's parents don't pay any attention to what he does so he gets away with murder, literally. I really thought it was an interesting idea to have a crazy kid trying to drive the babysitter crazy, and then him finding out something's crazy about her too! I liked the ending, but this movie is slow and distant, plus there are other things going on in the story that didn't really help with understanding the movie.
Although I found the story predictable, silly, and unromantic, this movie does have it's charm. That charm comes from Foreman for the most part, and that very funny part with Penn and Teller. If it wasn't for them, the movie would have been flat.
Overacted, silly, and not well made. It's fun if you just want to sit there and not think for a while and watch Drew Barrymore and Keanu Reeve, but that's all.
This movie isn't scary enough, gory enough, or anything enough, but it spent an hour and a half trying to entertain. In the movie an uncle is telling bedtime stories to his little nephew, some of which involve sex and violence and don't seem like the kind of stories people would tell kids. Two of them are based on normal kids stories, I'm not sure about the first one (which was the worst of the three). Overall, a stupid movie with a bad ending.
The star is for Adam West, who's character we need to see more of in this movie! This movie is really stupid, I mean take that scene where the zombie guy attacks those to teens in the gym; he's incredibly slow (as zombies are), but somehow he manages to kill them as they are stupid enough to pass up every exit door to the place as they're being chased! Of course, if you like movies that are so horribly cheesy that they're funny, you'll find this a fun movie.
I hated how different this was from the first movie. In this one, the military is involved and they just go and kill the aliens with their guns, where's the suspense?
