A classic 80s movie! Not just a great 80s movie, but it's the best time travel movie ever! It's got action, comedy, and science fiction rolled up into one, and it's perfect to watch with the entire family (especially with those who remember the fifties). So, if you haven't seen this movie, please do yourself a favour and rent it today!
This movie is very funny, but it gets a bit exhausting towards the end, that is the ends as there is more than one ending. Still, Curry's performance is great. I enjoy this movie.
This movie was better than I thought it would be, plus one of my favourite bands played in a scene too! Spader's character is cool, and the story is good, even if it is sorta like Rebel Without a Cause.
It's like a teen sex comedy meets a 70s vampire movie and stars Jim Carrey! This is one of my favourites, but I realize it's not the best vampire movie of the 80s. Still, it's funny, entertaining, and it's got Jim Carrey, so check it out.
Girls just want to have fun, but sometimes they have to fight for the right to party! Parker plays a rebellious teenager who wants to be in the dance contest. This is a fun teen comedy with dancing and romance.
This is an interesting fantasy movie, and I liked it, but it could have been better. I didn't like the beginning of the movie, and the silly pop music during the fights didn't help, but Broderick's character really grows on you, he's cute. Good story and characters, but bad music.
According to this movie to be a real genius you need to be a nerd and know how to throw a party :). Anyway, this movie has a good story, good characters, and it's got some funny scenes. Overall, a good movie.
This movie is overly gory to the point that it's actually kind of funny, and the dialogue is unintentionally funny as well. I like it, it's cheesy and brilliant, with a sequel inducing ending. If you like zombie movies, especially the Living Dead series, you can't miss this movie.
I really like this cavalcade of stars and muppets that is Follow that Bird. I'm lucky enough to have it on video, and I recommend it to anyone with kids.
Just like beer, it doesn't taste great, but it can be fun. I found a lot of funny scenes in this movie, and I enjoyed it, but I'll admit it's not a great movie by any means. It's just plain entertaining for 80s fans.
There are some very very funny scenes in this movie, it's like Wall Street if it were a black comedy where all the brokers were jumping out of windows. This movie would be great if not for things like the editing, director, and the beginning of the movie. I couldn't believe the beginning; the movie has DeVito and Moranis, who are the funniest guys in the movie (so far in the beginning), and they both die right away! This movie is deceptive that way, putting their names on the box and then killing their characters before you even get to know them. Overall, I'd say see this film if you are either a businessman or a Judge Reinhold fan (that's my reason for seeing this) , if not, you will find this movie just mildly funny.
A fun sci-fi TV movie with the cutest guy ever, James Spader! You can tell it's an 80s TV movie, it's kinda cheesy, but still, it has some unique sci-fi elements like the light ship. If you're a fan of Spader, like me, you'll want to check this one out, it's a romantic and fun sci-fi flick!
I love the cast of this movie, except for Mare Winningham, if they had Molly Ringwald instead, it would have been great. Other than that I felt the movie was a bit pretentious, and not as real as it could have been.
This is a mediocre sci-fi thriller with a predictable easy ending, but it has its good scenes too. I wasn't sure what to write about it other than that. Overall, an okay movie, but could've been better.
This movie has a lot of drama going on, and creates good characters, but we aren't given a solid resolution to their conflicts, and there are many loose ends. The acting was good, though, the characters had this feeling like they were going somewhere, and all but the main character end up somewhere. This isn't a satisfactory ending for a movie like this!
An alright thriller movie, but I still think there could have been more to the story. Still, James Spader is way sexy in this movie even though he plays a crazy jerk. Overall, a so-so film, but if you're a fan of any of the actors, you'll enjoy it.
Alright, it's cheesy, got story flaws, predictable, and could be a lot better, but it has a good amount of funny scenes and good actors. Overall, it's so-so.
A movie about a guy whose life is selling coca-cola, and how he learns that there is more to life? In the 80s, I can't see this movie being too popular, but it does have a nice lesson. The film itself is not much to look at most of the time, and kinda strange at times since it takes place in Australia, a popular continent in the 80s. Plus, Greta Scarcchi's character is really annoying. Overall, the movie is so-so.
This movie has a good amount of funny gags, but also a good amount of unfunny scenes as well. It felt a little long because the story runs out of steam and they just kind of seem to add gags that don't need to be there before they get to the end, and the end was alright, but the couple of scenes before that could have been cut out.
This movie looks like something H.G. Lewis made in the sixties but forgot to release in theatres because he didn't like it. Not that this movie is really awful or anything, it's just not great, but it is different.
So this guy's a ghost and he can turn invisible or visible whenever he wants? Does that make sense? I thought he was a ghost. Oh well, this movie is entirely too silly, and the ending is entirely too predictable.
Christopher Lee should have turned this movie down, it's horrible, but he does what he can with it. I really liked the first one, and this sequel wasn't anywhere as good, it seems like the filmmakers didn't even try to make this movie as good as the first. The story seems more fitted for a vampire movie, the style, direction, editing, and acting (except for Lee) are all horrible. The only other thing I liked was the cool song, I don't remember who that song was by, but it was cool. Anyway, if you haven't seen this movie don't bother with it.
I guess I wasn't paying attention, but I couldn't figure out just by watching this if it was set in the past or the future, it has elements of both, so I was confused, but now that I've read the flixster page, I see it's supposed to be a future world. This movie is really strange, though, there's gangs of people dressed similar, for example the warrior women, or the mummy guys, and then there was some weird 70s cult types. This movie is mostly fighting and battles staged to cheesy 80s metal music, which is cool, but I couldn't figure out the story behind the battles. I wouldn't recommend wasting time watching this movie.
I didn't care to watch this entire movie, it was just brainless and full of stupid jokes. But if that's your thing, you'll like this movie better than I did, I'm not saying you'll love it, but you'll like it. Plus, if you're a Depp fan, you can see one of the worst movies he was ever in.
This movie was pointless and stupid. The devil just happens to decide to "test" a computer nerd by making him go through seven trials, or else he will loose his girlfriend. Why? Who knows. Everything happens fast and haphazard, and without explanation. The ending is really the worst part of the whole movie. Plus the trials aren't even very difficult. Stay away from this movie, it's horrible.
