Class 1983, R)
This was a great movie. It has so many of my favourite actors: Rob Lowe, John Cusack, Andrew McCarthy, Alan Ruck....! Wow! And the story is really dramatic and interesting. There are also a lot of really funny scenes, like in the beginning when Lowe and McCarthy are playing pranks on each other. This is a must see 80s movie. |

Easy Money 1983, R)
I enjoyed this movie, it's about family and marriage, addiction and self control, business and the working class. It's a funny comedy, but there is more to it than that. The movie has good actors, a good story, and it's enjoyable. The only problems are on the technical side, but it was probably due to a low budget. Overall a very good movie. |

The Return of Captain Invincible (Legend in Leotards) 1983, PG)
I half liked it and half hated it. This is a very different superhero movie. First of all, it's a musical as well, and I didn't know Christopher Lee could sing, it was cool to hear him. This is also kind of a superhero movie spoof, and it is funny in that department. The only problem I had with this movie was that it seemed to get off track in some scenes, and I got confused, somethings didn't seem to make sense. Plus, I hated the ending. Overall, an interesting movie to check out. |

Psycho II 1983, R)
A good sequel, I was kept guessing the whole time, but I didn't like how it ended it felt very convenient. Perkins seemed a bit quiet in this movie, he didn't have any kinds of outbursts of madness or anything, which I thought might happen, so I was a bit disappointed with his performance. I wasn't sure what to rate this movie, I kind of like it, but I kind of didn't. Still it was good for a sequel. I'm sure Hitchcock would have done a better job at it, though. |

D.C. Cab 1983, R)
Wow, this movie was better than I expected, not that it was a great movie, just better than I thought it would be. The beginning of the movie feels very fragmented and it didn't all come together into a story until about an hour into the movie. It has some of funny scenes, but it could have used more. Plus, I was surprised to see Cara play herself, I thought she was going to be a character in the movie, but she had a small cameo in one scene. The ending was really good, and the characters were interesting, but overall this movie could have been better, but it's still a fun movie nevertheless. |

The Survivors 1983, R)
It was enjoyable enough to watch, I'd say, not that I'd recommend it to anyone. The story has good intentions, the actors do their best, and there are some funny scenes. It just felt so mediocre, like some scenes were pushing too hard to get a laugh out of you, and Williams' performance was great in some scenes but bad in others, I wasn't sure what to think about him in this movie. Matthau plays the straight man, and he does a good job, but he can be boring at times. You can just feel something lacking in this movie, I'm not sure what it is, but I still say if you want to see it go ahead, it's not bad, but don't expect it to be fantastic either. |

Not Bakshi's best movie, actually it's kind of disappointing compared to his other films. I was expecting more in the way of blood and guts and sex and stuff like that, but it didn't happen. Sure the characters are all scantily clad, but there's no reason for it, and they look cold. Sometimes this movie got on my nerves because the princess kept getting captured and freed and captured and freed, enough's enough! Other than those problems, the story is pretty good for a fantasy movie, and the animation looks just as good as his other movies. Overall, it's okay, but disappointing after seeing his better known films. |

Overdrawn at the Memory Bank 1983, Unrated)I loved Raul Julia, but the movie itself isn't worth of him. The plot is confusing and stupid, the horrible special effects get in the way all the time, and I still can't believe that guy who was trying to impersonate Peter Lorre! On the bright side, this movie is hilarious because of all those things, it's so bad you keel over laughing. I felt bad for Raul being in this movie. Anyway, if you want to watch a hilariously bad movie, check this out. |

Romantic Comedy 1983, PG)
This movie got on my nerves, Steenburgen loves Moore's character who is an egotistical, married, writer. They work together for a long time, but never have an affair, even though his wife knows that they really love each other? And then she marries this other guy, and he starts having affairs with actesses to get back at her, and his wife divorces him? This movie is crazy mixed up. Sure, this could happen in real life, but it frustrates me to watch a movie like this. Why does she love this guy? I just don't get this movie. |

A Night to Dismember 1983, Unrated)
It's true, this is one of the worst horror movies ever made! Maybe THE worst? I wouldn't recommend watching this movie, but if you do, beware that it's mostly narrated. Who's ever heard of a narrated horror movie? It was so bad that sometimes I found it funny. The actors don't get to say much, the narrator says their lines most of the time. Not only was that bad, but also the special effects looked like a high schooler was in charge of them, they were incredibly fake, as was the make-up. Anyway, they were laughable, as were the acting, music, and story. The story is really crazy and confusing at times, and is narrated by a reporter who "narrowly" escapes the killer, (although it looks as though he should have died). Also, there were many repetitive, boring scenes. If that's not enough to convince you that this is the worst horror movie, go ahead and see it yourself, you were warned! |

Copper Mountain: A Club Med Experience 1983, PG)
Jim Carrey's first is his worst! I think it was mainly the fault of the director and writer probably. This movie has three things going on at once, none of which the audience particularly cares about because there's pretty much no story. There's some ski race involving Alan Thicke, who thinks he can beat the old champ just because he's out of shape. There's some bands singing at the resort. And then there's Carrey doing funny impressions of famous people to impress some chicks. That's all that's going on in this one hour movie. I got bored with it and didn't watch the end, but at least Carrey is slightly funny. |

Warrior of the Lost World 1984, R)
I watched the MST3K version of this movie today, it was funny, and later I forgot what it was even about. There is little plot, and lots of action. Just like some movies today, actually. Of course a lot of the action is people running around different locations for no reason, or Ginty's motorcycle saying silly things as he's about to collide with a wall! This movie is really absurd and makes little sense. |
