Mark Hamill delivers a great perfomance as Luke Skywalker,a young boy who enters into a adventure of a life when he´s persuaded to join the battle against the Galactic Empire.Luke also learns to use the Force and starts his path to become a Jedi Knight.Mark was born to be Luke Skywalker because he´s brave and also idealistic character to identify with.I couldn´t imagine anyone on the role because Mark Hamill owns it.Harrison Ford is fantastic as Han Solo, the arrogant and cocky mercenary who joins Luke in the battle.Ford stole the entire movie thanks to his star-studed perfomance as Han Solo, becoming one of the greatest movie stars in the world.Carrie Fisher is amazing as Princess Leia because she´s a very strong female character who can take care of herself.Sir Alec Guiness is oustanding as Obi Wan Kenobi,an older Jedi who teaches and guides Luke with the ways of the Force.Sir Guiness makes Kenobi one of the most memorable character of the series.

George Lucas revolutionized cinema with his amazing space adventure that changed movies forever. He may not be the greatest filmmaker for some people but Lucas was able to create the kind of movie audience love to watch over and over again. The visual effects are amazing and very revolutionary, making Star Wars an oustanding cinematic spectacle.

Star Wars is one of the greatest action-sci fi movies every made and the kind of movie that can never be beaten.Almost 34 years after the release,Star Wars will always continue to amaze the audience and fans many years to come.

Review:
The war of Vietname is a very important subject that was portrayed many times in films like Platoon and Full Metal Jacker.but none of them is darker as Apocalypse Now.Despite the contorvorsery around the making of the film,Apocalypse Now is a fantastic film and a brilliant and shocking masterpiece that focus on the Vietname and how you make it in a living hell.A very dark, disturbing and shocking vision of the Vietname war,Apocalypse Now is one of the best war movies of all time,

Martin Sheen delivers a great perfomance as Cpt.Ben Willard ,a burned down war veteran who is assigned to go to Vietname and track down Col.Kurtz but the mission won´t be easy and Willard finds himself going to a downfall in hell.Sheen´s perfomance was great and we can sense his emotional status even physical.Marlon Brando was great as Col.Kurtz, the man who will make Willard ask himself about his orders.Brando is a remarkable legend who gives us memorable perfomances.Robert Duvall was fantastic as Kilgore, the charismatic but wacko leader of the US platoon.Duvall was really awesome. The rest of the cast was great including Dennis Hopper,Laurence Fisburne and Harrison Ford.

Francis Ford Coppola delivers another remarkable masterpiece after The Godfather.Perhaps his most complicated movie he has ever made,Coppola managed to create a fantastic story with a memorable cast, making Apocalypse Now his most oustanding movie effort.

Apocalypse Now is one of the greatest war movies ever made and an instant classic that will live on forever.Everybody should watch or re-watch Francis Ford Coppola´s amazing war epic.

Director:Stanley Kubrick
Cast:Malcom McDowell,Patrick Magee,Mihcael Bates,Warren Clark
Genre:Science Fiction,Thriller
Year of release:1971
Running Time:136 minutes

Plot:
Alex, a teenage hooligan in a near-future Britain, gets jailed by the police. There he volunteers as guinea pig for a new aversion therapy proposed by the government to make room in prisons for political prisoners. "Cured" of his hooliganism and released, he is rejected by his friends and relatives. Eventually nearly dying, he becomes a major embarrassment for the government, who arrange to cure him of his cure. A pivotal moment is when he and his gang break into an author's home: the book he is writing (called "A Clockwork Orange") is a plea against the use of aversion therapy, on the grounds that it turns people into Clockwork Oranges (Orang is Malay for "Man"): they are not being good from choice (sentiments later echoed by the prison chaplain). The film reflects this: many bad scenes in a Clockwork Orange are accompanied by jolly music; if we are to experience them as we should, we have to do it consciously, by realising they are bad, and not because the director tells us so through the use of music and images.

Review:
I didn t know what to expect about A Clockwork Orange because it looked such a violent and disturbing movie that bothered me at the beggining but as a Stanley Kubrick,i decided to watch this movie on TV and boy, this movie is absolutely stunning and it blew me away big time.A Clockwork Orange is one of the most shocking, disturbing, contorversial and definetly brilliant films of all time, showing a shocking vision of a futuristic and dystopic Britain.I really enjoyed this movie and i knew that A Clockwork Orange is a stunning masterpiece.

Flixster - Share Movies

Malcom McDowell delvers a stunning, disturbing but briilaint perfomance as Alex De Large.Alex is a young delinquent who loves to create havoc with his friends in the streets of Britain but he went too far when he accidentaly kills a woman with, well,a penis statue. He gets arrested and he is subimted into a behavior modification therapy that changes his personality and makes him a peacefull person but the modification will make a impact in his own life and existence.McDowell s perfomance is absolutely brilliant because he looks so damn scary but at the same time very vulnerable and realistic aswell. This is probably Malcom McDowell s most memorable and popular role yet.

Stanley Kubrick is one of the greatest directors of all time and i have no shame to say that.Kubrick shows all his brilliance and talent no making this amazing movie. The camera work is definetly one of the bests i ver ever seen in a movie that makes a Clockwork Orange such a enjoyable movie.

A Clockwork Orange is a stunning masterpiece and definetly Kubrick s most contorversial and shocking movie but is such a great movie and deserves the title of one of the greatest movies of all time.Masterpiece.

Review:
Mad Max is a classic that can stand of it s own, creating a new side of the action genre.I think is such a brutal, violent and intense film because in the first minutes, you re already caught in the intensity of this apolalyptic thriller that spawned two follow up.The Road Warrior may be my favorite but the original remains as one of the greatest classics of actions films and perhaps the most popular of the australian cinema.

Mel Gibson delivers a household perfomance as "Mad"Max Rockantasky,a young police officer who tries to contain the violence in a futuristic and dystopic Australia ruled by savage bikers. After killing The Knight Rider,Max becomes the target of the gang leaded by the relentless The Toecutter. When his family and partner are murdered,Max decides to take matters of his own hands and confronts Toecutter in a deadly confrontation in the roads that will change him forever.Mel Gibson became the movie star that he is today thanks to his fantastic perfomance as Max.Gibson brings such a raw intensity, emotion and brutality to the character as long as he is affected by the violence. If Mad Max didn t turn to be sucessfull,we wouldn t see Mel in the sequels and as Martin Riggs in the Lethal Weapon series. You can say what you want but Mel Gibson is one of the best actors ever.

George Miller s direction is amazing and boy, couldn t imagine another director making this film.Miller created such a well done film with the most spectacular, amazing and hardcore chase scenes that still thrills the audience. This is Miller s most accomplished film effort next to the excelent Mad Max:The Road Warrior and i hope he comes back to his true roots.

Mad Max is an oustanding classic of the action cinema who earned his place in film history. If you loved The Road Warrior, then watch the movie that started George Miller s legendary apocalyptic trilogy.

Review:
What excited me about the first time i ve heard about Dirty Harry is how memorable the movie is and i wanted to see it so badly because i love Clint Eastwood. When i first saw the movie,it blew me away from the beggining to the end with such a incredible intensity and violence never seen.Dirty Harry is the ultimate cop movie because left it s mark not only in the genre but also in film history, inspiring another cop epics like Lethal Weapon,Heat or Training Day.Almost 40 years later,Dirty Harry is a timeless classic.

Don Siegel s direction was absolutely electrifying and explosive that grabs you every minute,Siegel managed to create such a amazing movie with control and a brilliance that can t be matched. The action scenes are legendary, specially when Harry stops a bank robbery,Dirty style.

Review:
I remember when i first watched Alien on TV and i was 10 years old and it gave me the creeps and after i watched i had nightmares because this classic is one of the scariest and most intense movies of all time and no other movie of this genre(with the exception of The Shining)comes close.Alien is the start of one of the most popular sagas of movie history and although Aliens is my favorite,Alien is an oustanding sci fi classic that will never die.

Sigourney Weaver is absolutely fantastic as Ellen Ripley, the woman who is destined to batlled the most deadly creature of space. Before unleashing her emotional fury like no other in Aliens,Sigourney left her mark in her first feature.Ripley and her crew of Nostromo land in an unknown planet to retrieve an living organism but they soon realize that his organism is hostile and it s about to destroy the entire crew. All died except Ripley, who has the guts to face the monster.I couldn t imagine the series without Sigourney because she makes Ripley a beilievable character with full of strenght and courage and only Sigourney would pull Ripley off.John Hurt makes one of his appearences as Kane, the member who stars in two of the creepiest scenes of the movie:The face hugger and of nasty chestbuster scene, one of thew scariest scenes of movie history.

Ridley Scott s direction is outstanding and he leaves his mark in the genre just like he did in Blade Runner. His direction makes the movie great because he mixes the intensity and suspense that makes Alien such a scary movie.Ridley Scott is the best director of the series next to James Cameron in Aliens and his best movie next to Gladiator and Blade Runner.

Review:
I wanted to see Taxi Driver for a long time but i never had the chance to see the movie, which made my excitement growing up a lot. When i watched it for the first time,i was blown away about Martin Scorsese s urban saga.Taxi Driver is probably one of greatest movies ever made and i had a good feeling on watching the movie. With great perfomances, great directing and a brilliant but dark history,Taxi Driver is an amazing masterpiece.

Robert De Niro delivers one of the most memorable and popular perfomances of his legendary career as Travis Bickle.Bickle is an emotionally unstable Vietname war veteran who gets a job as a taxi driver in New York City.During his work,Travis walks in the streets full of crime and decandence and starts to get consumed by it.Affected by the ongoing violence in the streets,Travis believes he can change the world by trying to help a teenage prostitute, which it leads him to extreme actions.De Niro is one of the greatest actors of all time and Taxi Driver shows De Niro s at his best. His perfomance was so intense and realistic that made Travis Bickle a sort of urban anti-hero.I think this De Niro s most iconic role ever next to Jake La Motta in Raging Bull.Jodie Foster makes one of her first appearences as Iris, the teenager prostitute who makes a connection with Travis. Not bad for Jodie sharing the screen with De Niro. She showed the signs of the great actress she would become. The rest were great including Cybil Sheppard as Besty and Harvey Keitel as Benjamin, the pimp.

Martin Scorsese is a master what comes to classics and Taxi Driver is no exception.Scorsese managed to capture the urban side of New York like no other director could do and Scorsese did it prefectly. The score is one of the best things of the picture,so is Pual Schraeder s brilliant script.

Taxi Driver is a amazing urban saga and one of the greatest movies of all time.Almost 35 years later,Taxi Driver is an unforgetabble classic of film history, courtesy of Martin Scorsese.

Richard Donner s direction was amazing and made this movie the classic that it is today. With his brilliance and sensitifity with the story and the characters,Donner made the movie fans would be very proud of.The visual effects are amazing, still impressive until today and Superman s flying scenes are mind-blowing.
