Beginning Monday, April 19th, Flixster is sponsoring the Flixster/ Rotten Tomatoes Summer Quotes Contest. As you likely already know Flixster is about to hold an exclusive contest for select users of the site. It will be a great chance to showcase your movie know-how, rehash your favorite moments in film, and have a shot at some really cool prizes while you're at it. Yay, prizes! More details below:

WHAT: The focus of the contest is on one of our favorite aspects of film: those memorable quotes. The contest will involve entering quotes to our sister-site, Rotten Tomatoes (if you didn't know we are family), and prizes will be awarded to the 6 users who have entered the most quotes.

WHEN: The contest begins TUESDAY, April 19th at 12:00 noon Pacific Time and runs through TUESDAY, May 8th at 12:00 noon Pacific Time.

WHO: The contest will be extended to users like yourself: the top contributors to the site. As well, if you have a friend or two who you feel may want to join in we will consider them. Feel free to contact RobGordon with their user-name or a link to their profile page. :)

WHERE:Just go to your favorite movie pages on Rottentomatoes.com, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the yellow button near the bottom that says "submit a quote". From there you can select which actor you are submitting a quote for, or even submit dialog between multiple characters in the film. Pretty simple, pretty cool!

WHY: Because we love to reward our users ever so often for being awesome contributors!

Quote prizes will be awarded on the following basis: Most quote contributions. Simply put: whoever has the most movie-quote know-how and shows it off during the contest wins. We are restricting allowable quotes to those that are un-offensive. If you think it might be offensive it probably is. As well, let's keep it clean - reserve those quotes with foul language for another time.
