Beginning Monday, February 8th, Flixster is sponsoring the Winter Wiki Contest - Oscars Edition. This contest is open to all Experts wanting to wiki away to their hearts content! Five contributors will be awarded some super-cool prizes and limited-edition trophies for their profiles, so your odds of winning are really good!

WHAT: We're doing things a little different this time. The top three word contributors will win prizes. Additionally, Flixster staff will select two wikis that exhibit awesome designs. See "Prizes" below for more details.

WHEN: The contest begins MONDAY, February 8th at 12:00 noon Pacific Time and runs through MONDAY, March 8th at 12:00 noon Pacific Time.

WHO: All Flixster Experts presently in good standing. (I.e. you?ve made the basic edits to your own actor pages. Check the FAQ for details.)

WHERE: For this contest we encourage our Experts to work on pages that don't have much info yet, particularly those of actors and directors that have (ever) been nominated for an Academy Award. If you've noticed a page or two that needs a bit of help this is the perfect time to spruce it up! Of course, your own pages (or any on Flixster) are fair game as well. Also, for the design aspect of the contest we are only allowing Experts to submit their own pages for review. So please, don't make drastic styling changes to other experts pages - we won't be able to count it!

WHY: What better time to Wiki then during the film industry's awards season?

Wordcount prizes will be awarded on the following basis: 1.) Most word contributions. Simply put: WORDS added of your own originally authored, accurate actor information. Copyrighted material is not allowable in the contest (or at any time on Flixster.com) and will not count towards your total. No scripts, no song lyrics, published magazine interviews, etc. If you have already posted any copyrighted material you should remove it ASAP. If you need additional clarification on what is and isn't OK just ask Rob.


FLIXSTER STAFF DESIGN SELECTION

Just express yourself however you see fit with your own pages. It's up to you to do whatever you want! Remember, for Flixster to consider your entries (up to 3 per Expert) you must add at least 750 words to those pages during the contest.
