 Zacky Vengeance mini-bio: Avenged Sevenfold Member Zachy Vengeance orignally the only guitarist of the band until Syn Gates joined then became the Rhythm guitarist. Zach was in a band prior to A7X called MPA..Mad Porno Action who he said was not successful. Matt says th anme came from one crazy night. He taught himself how to play when he was 13, and like Shadows and The Rev Attended Huntington High School. He came up with his stage name as a way of getting back at people who doubted his potential. Zach is also responsible for the The Avenged Sevenfold 'initials' A7X. Left handed Zach remembers learning to play guitar upside down on a right handed guitar his parents purchased for his thirteenth birthday. Practicing as much as he could, and watching his favorite bands and those he knew how to play. He'd read each issue of Guitar world cover to cover learning the tabs of the songs published within.
