Tom Hardy mini-bio: Edward Thomas "Tom" Hardy, born in September 15, 1977, is a British actor best known for his roles in the films Star Trek Nemesis, Bronson, and Inception. Known for his versatility, dynamic screen presence, gravelly voice and pillowy lips, he's been hailed as one of the most talented and promising young actors working today.
Tom was born in Hammersmith and raised in East Sheen, London, the only child to Anne, an artist, and Edward, a writer. He was schooled at Reeds School, Towerhouse School, Richmond Drama School and joined the prestigious Drama Centre London in 1998 and studied under Sir Anthony Hopkins former mentor, but was taken out early to work on the American mini-series "Band of Brothers" (2001). His first film role was as Twonbly in Ridley Scott's "Black Hawk Down"(2001) and amongst his stage and screen credits are roles in RocknRolla, The Long Red Road, Stuart: A Life Backwards, and Wuthering Heights. He will be starring as Max in the upcoming fourth installment of the Mad Max franchise, Mad Max: Fury Road.
