Tamera Mowry mini-bio: Tamera Darvette Mowry is an American actress. She first gained fame for her role opposite her identical twin sister Tia Mowry in the sitcom Sister, Sister.
Tamera Darvette Mowry was born in Gelnhausen Germany to Darlene, who is African American, and to Timothy, who is caucasian. Tamera Mowry was born two minutes before her identical twin sister Tia Mowry. She has a mole on her left cheek and has dimples, that is the only way you can tell the difference from her sister. Her father was in the army when she was born he , became a police officer. Her mother was also in the military and later managed her and her sister's careers. She has two other younger siblings, Tahj Mowry, who is also an actor, and Tavior. Tamera and her sister Tia starting entering pageants and talent shows while their family were living in Texas. At age 12, they convinced their mother to move to California with them so they could start an acting career. She agreed, on the fact that they have a acting job the first month. In 1990, their family moved to California permanently and Tamera and her sister started appearing in commercials and other small entertainment activities. She and Tia were members of the 90's singing group The Voices.
