 Rachel Luttrell mini-bio: Rachel Luttrell was born in Tanzania and moved to Canada with her family at the age of five and is one of four girls. Her mother is from Lushoto, Tanzania and her father is from Louisiana. She has studied ballet at The Russian Academy of Classical Ballet; music at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto (she plays the piano and sings soprano) and with her father who participated in the internationally acclaimed Toronto Mendelssohn Choir; and Shakespeare at Oxford University with the British/American Drama Association in the prestigious President Group. She is presently starring on the hit sci-fi TV series "Stargate: Atlantis".
