 Prince mini-bio: Widely regarded as one of the most gifted musicans of his generation, Prince Rogers Nelson was born at Mount Sinaii Hospital, Minneapolis on June 7, 1958 to John L. Nelson & Mattie Shaw. Quickly establishing himself as a musical genius Prince released a series of challenging and genre-bending albums throughout his career, constantly pushing the boundaries with the release of each new record. Also a sometimes-actor Prince has starred in three feature films, one of which the semi-biographical rock flick 'Purple Rain', which one him an oscar for best original music score.
