BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Paddy (Patrick) Considine was born on the 5th September 1974 in Burton-on-Trent (The Midlands) in the UK. He was raised with his Brother and two Sisters in a Council House on Vancouver Drive in the Large Manners Estate in Winshill – A suberb of Burton. When Considine left school he studied a Performing Arts National Diploma at Winshill based Ada Chadwick Campus (now demolished) of Burton College. It was here Considine met Independent film Director Shane Meadows. Considine never completed the course and instead went on to study a degree in Photography at Brighton University. FIRST ACTING JOB On his return home from University, Considine worked on a short film called “Three tears for Jimmy Prophet” with friend and Director Shane Meadows.
FULL TIME ACTOR
Considine worked as a Photographer before turning to Acting full time in 1999. His first full length feature film was again a collaboration with Director Shane Meadows as “Morrel” in “A Room for Romeo Brass” and later in 2006, they would work together again in the impressible British film “Dead Man’s Shoes” which Considine co-wrote.
HOLLYWOOD
In 2005, albeit a small role, Considine appeared in the Ron Howard film “The Cinderella Man” with Russell Crowe. In 2007 he would play a Journalist in “The Bourne Ultimatum”.
POSSIBLY BRITAIN’S BEST ACTOR?
Considine is without doubt one of Britain’s most talented Actors, who manages to turn his hand and talents to many different genres and characters, with equally impressive results. He is said to detach himself after a project, as he doesn't like watching himself acting.
MUSIC
- Along with Shane Meadows, Nick Hemming, Richard Eaton and Simon Hudson he formed a band called "Talks to Angels" for whom Considine played drums.
- He is in a Rock Band called "Riding the Low" (see video section).
- He has also appeared in music videos; Coldplay's "God put a smile on upon your face" and Moloko's "Familar Feeling", Artic Monkeys "Leave before the lights come on"
