Matthew Macfadyen is a british actor. He is best know to audiences on both sides of the Atlantic for his role as Tom Quinn, in the hit TV series Spooks "aka" MI-5 (in the USA).
Matthew is now making a name for himself in films. He has had small roles in the films Maybe Baby, Enigma and The Reckoning, but is best known for is role as Mr. Darcy in the 2005 film Pride and Prejudice.
He played his first lead role in the dramatic thriller In My Father's Den, which is attracting attention from the worldwide film industry. He has also starred in Middletown and Death at a Funeral.
In 2002, he began a relationship with his Spooks co-star Keeley Hawes. They were subsequently married on 8 October 2004. Their first child, daughter Maggie, was born in December 2004. The couple announced the birth of a baby boy, Ralph, in September 2006. Matthew Macfadyen is stepfather to Keeley Hawes' son, Myles, born in 2000 from a previous marriage to a cartoonist.
