With a sensational first year under his belt, Khan has moved from acting school graduate to television series co-lead to leading film roles. A graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2004, Khan was unable to appear in the years graduation showcase with the rest of his class mates having already been snapped up by Southern Star / ABC for their first series of BLUE WATER HIGH in which he played the series regular; Edge. The series proved a hit for ABC and Khan’s career seems on track for similar status. Following BWH Khan went on to film his first feature role; Joel in THE CATERPILLAR WISH for director Sandra Sciberras and Producer Kate Whitbread. Shot on location in Robe, South Australia, about a teenage girl (played by Victoria Thaine) searching for a sense of belonging and connection. The film is due for release in the second quarter of 2006. Next was the short film WOBBEGONG for director Owen Taylor opposite Australian AFI award winner Kerry Armstrong, followed by a guest role in THE ALICE for the Nine Network. At the end of 2005 Khan filmed his first lead feature role in WEST for director Daniel Krige in which he plays Pete, a teenager whom the odds are stacked against. In late January 2006, Khan commences preproduction on CLUBLAND for director Cherie Nowlan and Producer Rosemary Blight . Khan plays Tim, a young man who finds himself in a tug of war between two powerful women, his mum played by Brenda Blethan (Secrets & Lies) and his new found love.
