After Emergency! folded, Tighe worked on Broadway and in film supporting roles. He was "rediscovered" by filmmaker John Sayles, who cast Tighe in such plum parts as Hickey in Matewan (1987) and gambler Sport Sullivan in Eight Men Out (1988). Specializing in gritty authority roles in the last decade, Kevin Tighe was reunited with his Emergency co-star Randolph Mantooth in the 1991 thriller Spy Games. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
