James Haven Voight Wiki Profile
James Haven Voight also known as "Jamie" was born on 11 May 1973 to Oscar winner Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. Completed graduation from Beverly Hills High School (1991). While attending USC, James won a George Lucas award for directing a student film which starred his sister Angelina Jolie.Went to Oscar with his father in the year 1986 and with his sister Jolie in 2000.The mentioning of loving her brother in her speech resulted in controversies which both James and Jolie dismissed.
James, an activist himself, has served as a board member of Artivist, a group that merges art and activism. The organization sponsored an L.A. film festival from Nov. 8 - 9 in 2007 that featured films on Human Rights, Children’s Advocacy, Environmental Preservation, and Animal Rights. Good job Jamie!
James Haven reportedly talked to the press that his sister Angelina's first biological child, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, was actually named after himself. The name "Shiloh" was to be James' original middle name, but his parents ultimately settled on "Haven" instead, keeping "Shiloh" as a family nickname for him. James still uses the name Shiloh occasionally, as on his personalized license plate.
Haven has made appearances as an extra in several movies, including the 2001 Academy Award-winning film Monster's Ball, with sister Jolie's then-husband, Billy Bob Thornton in the lead role. He has also appeared in the drama series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.Haven was credited along with Bertrand and Jolie as an executive producer on the 2005 documentary "Trudell", which told the story of Native American poet and activist John Trudell. Haven also appeared in a role for the movie Stay Alive (2006) for a short scene.
