Eric Millegan mini-bio:

Eric was born in Hackettstown, New Jersey, but moved to Springfield, Oregon, when he was 5. He grew up with his 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He studied acting at the Interlochen Arts Camp at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan before studying musical theatre at the University of Michigan and gained a B.F.A Degree in Musical Theatre.

Eric discovered early on that he wanted to act. He attended his sister Lisa's elementary school choir and often attended her rehearsals. But because he was only six Eric was not old enough to be in the concert. Eric's mother was mad about this and convinced the school to let him be apart of the concert and so he got to sing a solo to "You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile" from the musical Annie.

He got his first acting role when he was cast in the chorus of "Amahl and the Night Visitors" and soon afterwards, goaded by his father, he auditioned for another opera, "Madame Butterfly," and scored a small part for a young boy. When Eric was eight or nine he realised that acting was what he wanted to do professionally. However he had no intentions of majoring in theatre and often thought that it would be a waste and he thought about being an architect or a designer. However he changed his mind when he attended the Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan, where he spent his Sophmore, Junior and Senior summers. After that, he decided to continue pursuing his aspirations in college. Eric was recruited by the University of Michigan and hadn't even thought attending that university.

Eric booked his first job in "Babes in Arms" at the Guthrie Theatre in Minnesota. After this, he booked more regional theater jobs at theaters such as the Cincinnati Playhouse, Paper Mill Playhouse and the Repertory Theater of Saint Louis and started to become more successful with each play. However Eric said that he was lost as an actor for a long time and thought of himself more of a tv actor and so auditioned for television roles. He scored cameo roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "100 Centre Street" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm, before landing the role of Ed Simone in the 2002 movie called "On_Line" about a gay teenager living in New York. Eric was 28 when he starred in this movie and the movie had a large impact on his life. Playing a gay teenager made press inquistive about his sexuality and when questionned Eric decided to come out about being gay, which he had come to terms with when he was 19. However Eric has said that this has not been a disability and finds himself getting a lot of roles, opposite females because of this and it has helped to boost his career and was named one of the sexiest up and coming actor of 2003.

Eric's continued to star on Broadway and made his Broadway debut in "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "Hair," and got Off-Broadway credits in "Constellations," and "Waiting for the Glaciers to Melt.". And this led him to star as Harold in "Harold & Maude" in early 2005. Then he hit big when he was cast as Zachary Addy in FOX's hit show "Bones". During the hiatus during season 1 and 2 of "Bones", Eric starred in the movie "The Phobic" In his spare time Eric likes to play poker, play video games and attend Portland Trail Blazers games, and occassionally writes a blog for the NBA. In 2007 Eric organised his own Cabaret show at the beginning of December during the writer's strike.

Personal Life
Eric is an openly gay actor that came out in 2002 after his debut movie "On_Line" when he was 28. Eric admitted that he was never in the closet and his friends and family had known he was gay after coming out to them in 1993 when he was 19. Eric came to terms that he was gay when he had his heart broken when a guy he was in love with didn't have any feelings back for him, and Eric decided that he was gay and had been in denial for previous years about his feelings. He attended a gay bar and saw an openly gay actor in theatre and swore never to be like that but he did, and he hasn't regretted it since.

Eric's first boyfriend was the costume designer at Michigan University, and he had a healthy, exciting relationship. However this ended on Valentine's Day, when Eric had talked to Nathan Lane (who he has a crush on) on the phone and moaned constantly to his boyfriend that he hadn't called him back. He is now in a long term relationship with Charles, who he had known since 1993 but didn't they didn't settle down till 1997/1998, when Eric was 23, and they moved in together in 1998 after Eric moved out to New York in 1995. The two celebrated their 10 year anniversary in 2008.
