Edison Chen mini-bio: Edison Chen was born on October 7, 1980, in Vancouver, Canada. He has lived in Vancouver and NYC for a long period of his life, and this contributes to his fluency in the English language. While clubbing with a bunch of friends in a Hong Kong club, he was approached by a scout and was asked to film a commercial. From there on, he was introduced into the Hong Kong entertainment circle where he gained immense popularity for his good looks. He has starred in many films including Infernal Affairs I & II (which later was remade into the Hollywood hit "The Departed"), The Twins Effect, Initial D, and Dog Bite Dog. Determined on expanding his horizons beyond Hong Kong, he also starred as the male lead in the Japanese drama "Looking at the Same Moon." Edison has released many Cantonese albums,in 2007 her released a mandarin album in which some songs were produced by American rapper Kanye West. Edison has been rumored with many girls such as Gillian Chung, Bobo Chan, 2R's Roseanne, Maggie Q, Stephy Tang,and etc. Since the summer, he has mentioned a girl named "V" on his personal blog many times. He only recently admitted to dating Vincy Yeung, niece of EEG CEO Albert Yeung, after the premiere of his Hollywood debut, The Grudge 2. After the 2008 nude photo scandal, in which nude photos of many starlets he had dated in the past were released to the public after being stolen off his laptop, he departed from the Hong Kong film industry only appearing in one film, Sniper in 2009. He also had a small cameo in The Dark Knight. His upcoming projects include the English language comedy, Almost Perfect. He recently stated "With now as the best timing and me in my best state, I am ready for my come back."
