Dylan Moran mini-bio: Dylan Moran is an Irish comedian, actor and writer. He is most famous for his work on the television sitcom Black Books, which he both co-wrote and starred in as the sour, drunken bookshop owner Bernard Black, and his role as David in the comedy Shaun of the Dead. He is a regular performer at national and international comedy festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Kilkenny Comedy Festival.
He won the 1993 Channel 4 "So You Think You're Funny" award and the 1996 Perrier Comedy Award at the Edinburgh Festival. In winning this award, he narrowly beat fellow comedian Bill Bailey, whom he would later work with in Black Books. In 2003, he was listed in The Observer as one of the 50 funniest acts in British comedy, despite the fact that he's actually Irish.
