Dominic Cooper mini-bio: Dominic Cooper is an English actor who has performed on stage, film, television and radio. Cooper created the role of Dakin in the original London stage production of Alan Bennett's play The History Boys, having been involved in The History Boys from its very first reading. He also appeared in the Broadway, Sydney, Wellington and Hong Kong productions and radio and film versions of the play. He has had notable supporting roles in the Royal National Theatre's adaptation of the His Dark Materials triology, the TV series Down To Earth, and the film Starter for 10.
He is currently working on a TV series, Gavin and Stacey, and also has a role in John Krasinski's forthcoming adaptation of Brief Interviews with Hideous Men.
Cooper was nominated for a 2006 Drama Desk Award for his work on the Broadway production of The History Boys.
He has been nominated for the upcoming 2006 British Independent Film Award for Most Promising Newcomer (On Screen) for his work on the film version of The History Boys.
