"I’m aware that people see me as a sex symbol, and it’s getting me attention. But I know I can act.”
Diora Baird was born April 6, 1983, in Miami, Florida. She left home at the age of 17 to pursue her career dreams following the path of her mother who was a former model. Despite her beauty the path to sucess was slow moving and before her big break she worked many jobs including pre-school teaching, being a clown and painting.
Her commitment to auditioning soon paid off and Diora began getting a string of high-profile modelling gigs, including a series of ads for Guess. She also enjoyed her first taste of prime-time TV, appearing in a June 2004 episode of The Drew Carey Show. Her first films roles were in the low-budget films Brain Blockers (2004) and Deep Down in Florida (2004). This increased exposure eventually landed her the highly coveted cover of Playboy in August 2005, which gained her even more roles and increased exposure.
This included a brief bedroom scene in Wedding Crashers that had everyone talking. Since it’s release, the film has made over $209 million domestically and over $73 million overseas. More importantly, it’s made Diora even more visible.
After Wedding Crashers, Diora starred in the comedic short, If Love Be Blind (2005) and Hot Tamale (2005), and lined herself up roles in the 2006 films Vegas Baby, Fifty Pills, South of Heaven, Accepted, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. She recently starred in Adam Gierasch’s remake of the Night of the Demons as Lily Thompson , as well as Stan Helsing, Quit, 30 Days of Night: Dark Days, Pornstar and Let The Game Begin. She has a number of films in production including Last Call, Transit and Riddle.
