He filmed a few movies in New Zealand after drama school. Those movies were, "The Piano" (1993), "Desperate Remedies" (1993), "Once Were Warriors" (1994), and "Jubilee" (2000).
After filming in New Zealand he came to Hollywood and filmed, "Blow" (2001), "Three Kings" (1999), "The Insider" (1999), "Training Day" (2001), "Runaway Jury" (2003), "Brining out the Dead" (1999), and "Whale Rider" (2002).
Recent films are, "Fracture" (2004) and (2007) and "The Last Airbender" (2010).
