She stated that was not sure about working in any soap opera until was told by a colleague that the author of "Rolando Rivas taxista", Alberto Migre" was a "genius". After that, she appeared in many soap operas written by Alberto Migre.China Zorrila is still very busy in show business. In fact, a lot of directors, authors, and producers ask Ms. Zorrilla to work with them.Her father was the sculptor Jose Luis Zorrilla de San Martin. Her grand-father-Juan Zorrilla de San Martin - is the National Poet of Uruguay. Sister Guma Zorrilla was a celebrated and awarded theater and movie costume designer.In 2004 she was honored as "Ciudadano Ilustre de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires" ("Illustrious Citizen of the City of Buenos Aires").
